TW // Mentions of death and blood, brief gore (in Kiyo's backstory).

TIME HAD PASSED QUICKLY AND KIYO HAD BEEN PUT ON A STRETCHER. THE GROUP MADE IT TO THE HOSPITAL. Sakari was running alongside the stretcher, an unconscious Kiyo upon it as the doctors wheeled him to one of the emergency rooms.
"Kiyo, you're going to be okay! Hang in there!" Sakari's running came to a halt as the stretcher turned a corner. The brown-haired teen fell to her knees, sobbing.
Aiwami brought her to one of the chairs in the waiting room and sat down with her child. The dark-haired woman could hear a voice talking to Mrs. Nozomi and Sakari's friends. Sakari was being held by Aiwami, prior to hearing a familiar accented voice. "Mom, is that Aerial?"
"It sounds like it." Aiwami had recalled meeting Aerial earlier on while Sakari had been resting a week or so ago. Her brows furrowed at the other voices, as if remembering it, but it faded as quickly as it came. "But I can't tell what the other voice is."
Are you sure visiting Sakari right now is a good idea?
I'm sure, Kalani, don't worry.
Sakari looked up to see the dark-skinned woman, clad in her casual wear. Her wings were folded while she walked over. Accompanying the mythical entity was none other than Solaria themself. He was donned a casual outfit, their hair in a braid.
"Aerial!" Sakari seemed relieved to see her, but didn't get up. She didn't have the energy right now to do so.
"Please, Sakari. You're free to call me by my real name here. Also because if this being a vast place." Aerial reassured her calmly.
"Oh...sorry, Kalani." Sakari sniffed, not having realized that they were still crying.
"It's alright, no harm done. How are you doing, mtoto?" Aerial meant the Swahili word for 'child' as an endearment.
"I'm not doing well." Sakari soughed, cutting to the chase. They let go of Aiwami for right now. "I'm really worried about Kiyo and...I feel like this is my fault."
"Sakari, it is not your fault." Aiwami told her. "Kiyo helped protect you, me, your friends, and other people in the neighborhood."
"I know that, Mom!" the brown-haired teen's tears resurfaced. "But I've had to see so many of my friends hurt, due to trying to protect me. I just want...I just want to do something. Like, actually do something." the confidence was in their voice, but it wavered due to their tears. "I don't want to stay back anymore. I've had enough of this. I don't want to feel like it's my fault for this stuff happening to them."
Aiwami nodded and held Sakari close once more. Aerial came over and joined in on the hug. She decided to help try and reassure the chosen one.
"Your feelings here are completely understandable and I do apologize on my part. I hadn't known that things were going to be like this. This is our first time having a chosen one, so this is all new to us." Aerial got up and rested a hand on the teen's shoulder. "If possible, I can try talking to Michiko on allowing you to train."
That seemed to lighten up Sakari's mood a tad. They nodded with a small smile. "Thanks, Kalani. I appreciate that." what Aerial had said helped her feel better for right now and she still took what Jun said earlier to heart as well. "Um, where are Mrs. Nozomi and the others?"
"We talked to them earlier and let them know that we'll take it from here." Kalani voiced. She did not say that she had to tell them that Solaria was the writer of the books - they only knew him as that and didn't know what he looked like. "They're shaken up from what happened as well. And while I'm here, Solaria had come along to assist me in talking with you."
