FORWARD NOTE! Given that this is the war part of the final arc, there will be blood and violence! And possibly some gore as well. Of course the stuff will be bolded throughout this and the next couple chapters, so feel free to skip if you're uncomfy. [START HERE]

"YEAH, I CAN spare a few moments!" the red panda entity smiled, getting up to get some Tigorian soda from her fridge. It was like Earth's soda with less artificial flavors "Here, feel free to sit down in one of the chairs."

Tansaku blinked, looking around. "I don't see them?"

Sada forgot she had been working in the dark. "Ah, right. Sorry, been working with very little lighting here." The light that had spilled out into the hallway was from their computer, not the room itself. When they snapped their fingers, the room was illuminated, showing it to be quite big. There was a numerous amount of test tubes, beakers, and other scientific items on  the desk to the left. Notes were taped to the whiteboard resting up against the wall, looking like formulas or stuff the entity has researched on in her spare time. In the right corner was a spare desk and chairs, while close by the door was a shelf full to the brim of books.

Tansaku saw a chair and brought it over. Sada got the soda and brought it over to her old friend, having gotten one for herself. "So, you must be working late again, huh?"

"Mhm. Solaria assigned me to make tech and armor from my 3D printer over here." Sada gestured to it. "It will be enough for the townspeople here that want to volunteer for the war, so they're immediately sent to Solaria and  the gods will be handing them out when this comes around."

"That's amazing! I do think you need to get some rest, soon, though." Tansaku voiced out of worry. "The last time you did this, you fell asleep at your computer and Essence had to wake you up."

"I will, don't worry. My fiancée,  Julian, knows that I often overwork myself, so I'll be heading to our room soon." Sada took a couple sips of her soda. "But enough about me for right now. What's been keeping you up?"

"Well, my mind's constantly overthinking about the war and...while I am confident on it, I'm not so confident that I'll be okay if we have to go to Darkurus."

Sada's expression faltered, knowing exactly what the dark-haired entity was referring to. "...I understand that completely. I don't think Solaria would risk you guys going there during this war. Knowing them and the gods, they would put themselves in harm's way for you guys instead."

"I know, but I have that sinking feeling that..." Tansaku's mind went off track, so she drank some of her blueberry-like soda to try and get it back. "That we will have to. The Legendaries are stuck there and it's up to us to get them out of there. I'm the only one that won't be able to have a tearful reunion with mine."

Sada nodded in understanding. She also knew overthinking didn't do a tired mind and body any good, so she carefully chose her words to help lessen her friend's worry. "Loss can definitely cause that feeling, but your drive to save them has shown a lot. You decided to help your old friends in order to honor your mom, right?"

Tansaku nodded with a watery look in her eyes. "She would've not wanted me to worry. Like she had said, 'Enfócate en el presente, no en el pasado. Quiero que seas feliz, mi milagro." Basically to focus on the present, not the past and to be happy.

"Y ella tiene razón." Sada agreed, saying that Tansaku's mother was right. "Even if she hadn't expected this, she would want you to move on. You've already made a lot of progress over the years and the personal strains of this upcoming war can...definitely be a lot for sure."
