On a Friday night in March, Lincoln Loud was kicking back on his bed with his headphones on, listening to music and reading comics, when suddenly, Lola busted the door open and barged into his room.

Lincoln didn't feel like pausing his music, so he didn't pause it... a big mistake. Lola snatched the headphones off of Lincoln's head and threw them down the hallway,  and breaking them.

"Lola, what was that for?!" Lincoln yelled.

"Shut up, Lincoln. I need you to do this," Lola claimed as she handed Lincoln a multi-page packet of math problems.

Lincoln shook his head no and then asked, "Who does this much homework on a Friday night?!"

"I guess you do. Byeeee," Lola teased and then slammed the door as she left. Lincoln groaned and then went to go investigate his headphones, where he saw El Diablo, Lana's snake, slithering all over them.

"Get away from my headphones!!" Lincoln demanded to the creature. As he ran up to the damage and try to scare away the snake, she bit him. Lincoln loudly yelped and then grabbed the snake with force, and Lana was not happy when she saw this.

Lana dove and tackled Lincoln after seeing what he did, and she checked on her snake. Lincoln was bleeding on his left arm, but of course, Lana didn't care about that.

"Lana, your stupid snake was chewing on my headphones and then bit me!" Lincoln screamed.

Lana slapped Lincoln across the face and then she stated, "I don't care about your dumb headphones. Leave El Diablo and me alone, or else."

"OoOoOhHhH, I'm sO sCaREd," Lincoln mocked. Lana scoffed and then walked away.

Lincoln had no choice but to recycle his headphones. Trash day was Saturday morning, and since it was Friday night, he had to put them in the bin outside. Once he did that, he approached the front door to re-enter the house.

Sure enough, it was locked. Lincoln repeatedly banged on the door, but no one answered.

"You guys, let me in!!" Lincoln groaned from the door, and it was strange why nobody heard him because everyone was home.

(Quick note: in this story, Ronnie Anne still lives in Royal Woods, Lincoln and Clyde are still in 6th grade, and Lori is still in high school).

Lincoln tried the back door, as well but had no luck there, either. His cell phone was still inside, so he couldn't do anything. He decided to go for a short walk and hopefully they would let him in when he got back.

"Why were Lana and Lola so mad?" Lincoln questioned himself while walking through the streets of Royal Woods.

He did have a wristwatch, so he was able to tell what time it was: 9:40. When he arrived back home, it was 10:19, and his parents were waiting for him at the front door.

"Young man, where in the world have you been?!" Lynn Sr. asked his son.

"I would've only been gone for like 30 seconds but nobody let me in the first time!!" Lincoln exclaimed.

The family shot each other confused looks until Lincoln had to explain the story.

"Why didn't you call us?" Rita requested to know.

"I left my phone in my room," Lincoln moaned.

"Well, you should've thought ahead on that one, buckaroo!" Lynn Sr. started, "No comics or technology for the rest of the night, do you realize that we could've called the police and filed a missing report?! It's dangerous on the streets this late at night, especially for youngsters like you!"
