"This is the final straw," Lincoln said to himself. He was talking about how not only his sisters ruined his life at school, but they also deemed him as bad luck...again.
"Where would they even get the bad luck philosophy from this time??" He thought in his head. His broken nose was dripping blood now, and he had to be guided out of the class by his friends Zach and Liam.
"Lincoln, let's go to the nurse," Liam suggested, but Lincoln refused.
"No way, I'm going home. Guys...this is goodbye. Forever," Lincoln claimed to his pals.
"Wait, you're going to kill yourself?!" Zach asked.
"What? No! I'm going to run away because clearly my life at school is destroyed and my sisters are a bunch of psychopaths," Lincoln corrected as he started to burst into tears. His friends looked at him helplessly until Lincoln requested, "Can you please call out Rusty, Clyde, and Chandler? Thanks."
Once the other three kids hurried out of the classroom, or in Chandler's case, limped, they checked on Lincoln.
"Oh, god," Chandler mumbled.
"Guys, I called you out here because this is goodbye, for good. Chandler, do me a favor: please, never quit grinding at basketball. You've been the best Small Forward I've ever played with. Thanks," Lincoln recalled.
Chandler was deeply touched by this, even though the two of them weren't necessarily friends, and responded by thanking, "Oh...thanks, Lincoln. You've been the best Point Guard I've ever seen play up close." He reached his hand out for a handshake, and Lincoln did the same. Chandler then hobbled back into class, and that was it.
"Zach, Rusty, Liam...you guys have been great friends this whole time...thanks for everything," Lincoln started to cry again.
"Lincoln, you don't have to do this!" Clyde tried to stop him.
"Do I really have a choice, though? No, I don't," Lincoln claimed.
"Can't you call a truce with your sisters?" Clyde tried to stop him, again.
"Call a truce, what? I'm not at war, and if I was, I wouldn't even be the instigator," Lincoln proved, and Clyde gave up.
"Well, thanks again, guys. I'll miss you. Keep being great friends," Lincoln farewelled.
"No worries, Lincoln. We'll miss you," Rusty guaranteed.
"Be safe out there, kid. Not everybody will be as nice as us out there," Liam warned.
"Never forget us, because we'll never forget you," Zach promised.
"I won't, don't worry," Lincoln said as the kids headed back towards the classroom.
"Clyde, where are you going?" Lincoln asked since he wanted to speak with Clyde 1 on 1.
"Oh, sorry buddy," Clyde apologized.
"Well...I guess this is it. You were the best best-friend a guy could have...I'll never forget about you," Lincoln explained.
"Me neither, buddy. Make sure to keep in touch with me and the others. Are you sure you want to leave?" Clyde started crying, too.
"What else am I supposed to do?" Lincoln asked, and Clyde knew it was a dead end. The two friends hugged for almost a whole minute until the teacher, Mrs. Johnson, came out into the hallway.
"Clyde, Lincoln, time to come back into-woah," Mrs. Johnson shrieked after viewing Lincoln's mutilated face.
"How did this happen??" Mrs. Johnson questioned.
