It didn't take very long for Lincoln to miss Royal Woods. The moment he stepped on the 5:00 train to head to Chicago, he missed his friends and family. He was the one who cared for his family, but his family didn't care for him (except for Luna, and maybe Lily).
The Metra train would arrive at 67th street in Chicago, Illinois around 11:00 PM that night, so it was a long train ride. The sights of the train ride were terrible. The graffiti outside, creepy people on the train, polluted areas, and not to mention the many strange looks Lincoln received from many others who were wondering what an 11-year-old boy was doing by himself, yet nobody asked him.
As the sunset, the sketchier things became. More people began to get off of the train where the surrounding area was [somewhat] non-dangerous. At this point, the train ride was almost halfway over, and Lincoln was getting nervous. Keep in mind, this was only a one-way ticket.
"Confusticate my sisters, I can't believe they did this. They know that they're going to regret this. Why did I even board this train? Well, I can't go back now," Lincoln said quietly to himself while slouching on one of the train seats.
Now the ride was almost over, and when the second-to-last stop had arrived, everybody in Lincoln's train car, except for the train crew and Lincoln, left, not wanting anything to do with 67th street. Lincoln was getting worried, but the train had already left for the last stop, so he would have to get off the train there.
When the train hit 67th street, Lincoln found himself lost and alone. The only thing that was visible for blocks was ghetto-looking houses, people that looked like gang-banging thugs, and graffiti-filled alleyways that were also full of littered garbage.
Lincoln was far from fitting in. A skinny white kid with white hair that looked like he had gotten beaten up judging by his nose and his foot? Yeah...Lincoln should be lucky he wasn't killed and/or abducted right away.
As he made his way through the suburbs, he spotted a basketball court. Sure, the fence was nearly destroyed and the hoops had no nets, but it was still a court.
But unfortunately for Lincoln, he would still have to wait another four to six long weeks before he could play again...if he even survived that long.
.............
For the first few weeks after Lincoln's departure, the sisters (excluding Luna) did not miss him at all.
But after week 3, they regretted their actions, and began to see the consequences.
.............
*3 weeks after Lincoln's farewell*
It was Saturday, April 15th. Lincoln was the only one that had dodged April Fool's. Luan had performed a literal torture day, using explosives, embarrassing videos, and many other props to fool her family
At this point, Luna was still the only sister that missed Lincoln, until the sisters would really see what they did wrong.
"Hey, who's going to be my sparring partner later?" Lynn asked her sisters, and they all declined.
"Wasn't Lincoln always your sparring partner, bro?" Luna questioned, rhetorically.
"Oh, pipe it, Luna. Everybody knows that getting rid of him was the right choice. If you love him so much, start a circus," Lynn chuckled.
