Depression filled Lincoln's body, as basketball was the only way to escape his sad personality. You see, this hasn't been the only time Lincoln's family has disrespected him frequently. Sometimes, they view him as an outcast and don't treat him like a real family member.
"Well, at least I can try out my new video game," Lincoln tried to cheer himself up. He grabbed his handheld video game console and inserted the game inside of it. The game was Zombie Demon Executioner III.
Lincoln turned on the console and as the opening theme played, a loud explosion occurred in Lincoln's room. Smoke filled the room while Lincoln limped through the doorway and into the hallway. When the smoke evaporated, Lisa came to investigate.
"Hey, Lincoln, I have some bad news. Some really bad news," Lisa greeted.
"Yeah, well I do, too! Your stupid chemicals blew up in my room while I was playing my game! What happened to it, anyway?" Lincoln complained.
As the two siblings walked back into Lincoln's room, the console was obliterated to pieces while Lincoln's wall and bed were partially destroyed.
"Thanks a lot, Lisa," Lincoln whined. Lisa frowned and asked, "Still want to hear the bad news?" Lincoln reluctantly nodded, thinking he had nothing to lose...but he did.

Back at the Hazeltucky school, Coach Pacowski was getting ready to head home after facing a 73-49 loss at the basketball game.
"Can't believe my best player fouled out, and now McCann tore his Achilles, in the same game!" Coach Pacowski complained to himself since Lincoln fouled out, and Chandler McCann, supposedly the second-best player on the team, tore his Achilles, sidelining him for at least a year. Ouch.
When Coach Pacowski arrived at his home, the first thing he did was log onto his computer to do some basic school things. He checked his email and saw the one from Lincoln, but it was edited.
The email was corrected from a grade 1 ankle sprain to a high-grade ankle sprain, which would sideline Lincoln for about 4-6 weeks, rather than 1-2. That was the bad news from Lisa, that she read his x-rays wrong when she first scanned the damage.
If Lincoln's first x-ray had truly been correct, he could've still returned for the playoffs, but now that was out of the question. Now that Chandler was done for at least the rest of this season and next season completely, the Royal Woods Elementary basketball team was doomed.
"You have to be kidding me," Coach muttered to himself. He threw himself into a rage because keep in mind: Lincoln never sprained his ankle at the game, he did at home, so this whole subject, in general, was new information to him.
"Well, at least there's always next year," he thought to himself. That's the keyword: thought.

Lisa gave Lincoln a walking boot to wear since he was prescribed with a high-grade ankle sprain. As Lincoln limped his way to the hallway out of Lisa's room, Lola spotted him and laughed.
"Lola, it's not funny!" Lincoln madly yelled.
"Oh, but it is! You look ridiculously hilarious with that boot!" Lola joked, much to Lincoln's disapproval. She even went as far as to snap pictures of the so-called "joke", and then she did the unthinkable, unknown to Lincoln: post them on social media.
