Chapter 46:
Juliet's POV:
"Are you going to actually go in the water with me?" I grinned as we walked down the beach. We had our personal canopy on the vip suite beach. it was sectioned off from the other small beaches and no one was on it due to the fact that the vip suites are in the thousands to purchase.
"Of course." He said laying down a towel. He had sunglasses on and his hat on backwards. I loved when he wore his hat backwards, his small blonde hair curled out and his bright blue eyes were just out and about...and oh god I loved him.
I wore a simple black bikini and let my hair hang loose as I walked down to the water. The water was crystal clear as I dipped my foot in. The sun had been shining on it all day so it was nice and warm.
"Ahh." I sighed emerging halfway into the water. I closed my eyes as the sun beated down on my exposed skin. As I was relaxing hands were on my hips and a mouth was on my neck. My eyes opened and I looked over.
"Caleb there are people here." I laughed squirming away.
"Are you kidding? We are the only ones here. Most people can't afford the vip suites." He smirked.
"So what? That doesn't give us permission to have sex in the water." I said turning away. He continued attacking my neck.
"Who said anything about the water?" He whispered lowly in my ear. I smiled and turned pressing my hand against his cheek.
"Your hand is wet." He laughed wiping his face.
"I love you." I said sincerely and he stopped and smiled.
"And I love you." He said back and he kissed me passionately with the comforting waves hitting against our legs. However, there was an issue I was going to have to bring up sooner or later and it concerned both of us, and children.
I pulled away and he stared at me oddly.
"Is everything alright?" He asked worriedly.
"Yes, I was just thinking about something." I said.
"Tell me." He said.
"You were raised in a large family with four siblings, I have a large family. So obviously, we both want large families, correct?"
"Yes..." He said confused.
"Having children, requires me to not be able to play hockey. I would have to take a year off and work my ass off to get back in shape. How can we have a family with the career I have?" I asked.
"I was meaning to talk to you about that." He said.
"Why?" I asked.
"I am largely involved with Sick Kid's hospital. They contacted me a couple of weeks ago about a little boy, he is about a year old and was found in an alley..."He said trailing off sadly.
"And?" I asked.
"Well he was very sick. He had the flu but he is small so his body is having a hard time fighting it off which is why he is in Sick Kid's. "
"Why are you telling me this?" I asked sadly. Stories like this make me upset.
"He was found by his mom who was dead. I was asked to take him into my custody by Sick Kid's and Adoption services. So, a social worker is coming by once we get back."
"What?" I asked disbelieved.
"I thought about the same thing, so I wondered about adopting a child before we have our own." He said, I smiled widely.
"Is he alright?" I asked eagerly.
"Yes he is perfectly healthy now. He is about a year old and is being taken care of at Sick Kid's, he doesn't have a name yet."
"We are actually going to have a little boy." I said happily and he chuckled.
"The social worker has to see if we have a fitting home first." He laughed.
"Of course we do! I am so excited!" I said.
