You miss him
Because now you have lost him
You saw him leaving
You didn't turn your back
You just left, didn't see the train running,
You have a lonely memory, you love a lonely memory
On his on eyes on yours.
Did he place a trap on your little feathers,
Oh little bird of you?
Even though you're still bleeding, sorrow and disgrace,
Even though your eyes are pouring holy water.
You miss him, little deceiving man,
So big in your brightest dreams,
You miss him now as you still remember
His proud looking eyes,
Devouring life with his little lies.
Big heart of such a big mind,
How could you sustain such little love?
Didn't you deserve more
Than a little man with big promises?
You did, you did, but that little love felt too noisy,
To tall to be ignored,
Impossible to not abide.
But that little noisy man now is not here, he is still wandering like a man who owns the world,
Careless in his words, bold in his thoughts,
And you, little earth of mine, now shrunk at the offence,
You keep on pumping blood
As if you're trying to survive to your worst days of your life
And you suffer, suffer, while that little boy
Is now smiling at someone else's face. That little boy is running high,
His life shines bright, he owns the lands and the rivers,
But little heart of mine, you're getting smaller
And smaller
And the days are getting colder,
The weight above your head is taller,
The sentence of vindictive gods is near,
Death leans on your bedroom's door.
You remember, you remember,
his heart was leaning on that door,
Or at least, you were convinced it did.
Now there's only an empty memory and a death sentence
Hanging on the bedroom's ceiling.
I know you wish he stood a little more,
In your house, in your eyes,
In the chambers of your body,
But now you shut the doors and the memory drops dead.
