Ginny Pov

I'm not oblivious to what goes on around me minus the whole 'My best friend married her best friend's enemy after having a secret friendship with him for the good part of a decade.' To claim I hadn't noticed Blaise's attempt at courting me would be a complete and utter lie.

The conversation I had with him that day as he flew Luna and me to Ravenclaw tower is where it started. His words ring in my head every day, they get louder whenever we cross paths.

'What would you do if someone proposed to you the way Draco did Hermione?'

No bloke would ask a girl a question like that without a hidden meaning, even today before Hermione showed up he was asking about my parents and brothers, joking that anyone who dared court me have a lot of men to work his way through.

I'm surprised he's not written letters to my parents already. I'm sure Percy and Ron are the only ones who won't like him. Mum might be wary of him given who his mum is. I can't believe I'm seriously thinking about marrying him.

I look at how he carries Luna on his back as she sleepily rambles on about her made-up magical creatures and he just chuckles smiling at her fondly. "Do you just let anybody use the flying carpet or is it reserved for the Malfoys?" I ask.

"It's reserved for anyone I like," he explains as Luna rests her head on his shoulder. "And I'm quite fond of the Malfoy's given that one is my best friend and the other is the best friend of the woman I'm trying to court."

"At least the poor woman's friends get something good out of it," I say, taunting him for a reaction.

His eyes flashed with offence and he looks a bit hurt but then he looks out to nowhere as Luna's soft snoring fills the air. "Well financially, she's not that well off, but I wouldn't call her poor," Blaise says. "She's smart, dead strong, has a huge accepting family, well mostly, I heard her mum wasn't very accepting when her brother got engaged to a high class French witch. Neither was she apparently."

My thoughts go straight to Fleur, who is now pregnant with her and Bill's first child. But suddenly my thoughts collide (394th word) with the words 'accepting family' has he already got to them?

"Then she has these amazing twin brothers, hilarious pranksters those two. We got on quite well when I last visited their shop."

My eyes widen, he's already got to the twins.

"It was hard to get hold of her second oldest brother, he loves his dragons that one, I found out the reason for our school motto last week."

That startles a laugh out of me. His lips quirk into a proud smirk, "Of course she does have two brothers, I haven't attempted to persuade that I'm the right man for their sister. Stubborn mules those two are, when I tracked down the ministry one I spun on my heel and ran. The last one... I decided that all the chicken in the world couldn't persuade him I was good for anything."

"So what you're basically saying is you've met with my entire family behind my back and 90% of then agreed that you would be a fine suitor for me."

"Who said anything about you, Ginevra?" he asks faking innocence as we approach the castle. "I'm talking about the woman I'm trying to court."

"Well does she know all that?" I ask, ignoring the use of my full first name.

His smirk widens, "She does now."

He walks ahead putting up one hand, "Later Ginevra."
