ANNA'S IDEAL MAN

One week later
At the library

After she finished a book Anna decided to read a fiction book to distress of her mind from studying. Reading books about romance and fiction always cheered her especially for male characters she fell in love with, she leaned and sat at a bookshelf and started to read. She started to imagine..

"If God will let me choose someone I want to be with, then I'll wish for someone who's kind, gentle, who's smart and kind to everyone... not someone like Ray tsk" She murmured not realizing that beside her was Ray picking up a book

"Ray was handsome and smart indeed but he's lack of empathy, bet he's never fell in love with someone before" she added

Ray started to laughed and Anna heard him causing her to felt embarrassed

"Y-you heard that all, didn't you?!" She asked awkwardly

"I did" he smirked

"I didn't mean t--" she apologized but then Ray sat beside close to her that made her uncomfortable.

"No, you're words precisely describe me for who I am" he replied but then he smiled "Sorry for being cold these days" he added.

"What? No it's fi--" He interrupted her again

"Maybe I'll try to be kind and gentle person for some reason" He looked away to make her ask him.

"What reason?" She asked awkwardly

"So I can be someone you like" He patted her head and smiled and laughed

"Stop making fun of me Ray!" She said and stood up but he grabbed her right hand to make her stay

"Wait! I ain't joking please stay here" He said with his serious face

"Then why did you laughed?!" She looked at him straight.

"Your reaction was too cute for me to handle" He scratched his head and smiled

"Cut it out!"

She only thought that his teasing her that's why she didn't mind him and started to read again, they focus on what their reading, she decided to stand up but she got a leg cramp for sitting about half an hour she sat again feeling the uncomfortable pain.

"Leg cramp?" He asked

"Yeah" She punched the area where the affected muscle located

"Are you insane? Why did you do that?!"

"But the pain when I punched it was way better than how this leg cramp feels"

"What a lunatic" he thought, he stopped minding his book and helped her. He massaged her legs gently for few minutes. He blushed and felt embarrassed when he unintentionally glanced at her thighs and white skirt.

"W-what now? Is this effective?" He asked awkwardly

"Yeah.. but let me tell you, punching it was way better" She giggled

"What's with that?? You act like a kid" He said with his grumpy face but she smiled

"Are you going now?" He asked

"Maybe I'll stay for a bit" She smiled

They continued to read.. It became silent but Anna open up a new topic for their monotonous conversation.

"Listen Ray, what do you think does Human world looks like?" She asked, he stopped reading and he answered her directly

"I'm sure there's a numerous of people" He said with his grumpy voice

"Of course!" She shouted on her head

"I read in a book that people need to go under they called 'Marriage' "She said, he leand his head on her shoulder that made her blushed, and he started talking

"A person wanted marriage when they want to spend their lives with someone forever" He replied, she can't see his face

"They call the man as their husband and woman as their wife, but some people choose to be alone" he added

"What about you?" She asked innocently, she knows Ray was grumpy and always depressed since he knew the secret of their house from the start, especially when Norman got shipped out. He stopped and started to face her

"Yes.. maybe.. if you agree to be with me" He looked away and scratched his head.

She didn't think of it as a tease but still she insisted

"Why me? I'm afraid you will ignore me everyday" she laughed trying to avoid his seriousness

"I might do that but It doesn't mean that you'll get out of my head"

After she heard that she took all what he said seriously
Causing her to felt flustered.

"Uhm, let's stop Ray it's not funny now" He noticed that she's really uncomfortable so he decided to laugh to make her think it was a joke

"Okay, I'm done I expect you already fall for m-"

"Stop now" She slapped him with the book she's holding

"It hurts! Ladies musn't use violence you know!" He rubbed the area who got slapped.

"It's fine as long as you shut up"  she giggled but she felt sorry for what she did, she sincerely apologized and they walked together to the kitchen since it was dinner time and they're one of the assigned for cooking.

When they entered the room Nat approached Anna so they can helped each other to prepare for the ingredients. Nat was very talkative and tells a lot of stories about himself especially for Anna, Thoma and Lannion. He also knows how to play piano and he played it for everyone.
