The last of the fireworks went down and she finished the last of her beer. It was about forty minutes past 8 which was kind of surprising since it felt longer than that. I looked around and just realised that her car wasn't around and that even if she did have her car around, she wouldn't be able to drive back cause she drank. I faced her and was about to question her how she wanted to get back to her hotel but she spoke first.

"Look like that's the end of it", she said leaving a lasting look at the sky then briefly looked at her phone - to check the time I'm guessing - and faced me. "Thanks for accompanying me Han Directornim, but looks like we have to get back now", she smiled politely. I assumed she was going to take a taxi back to her hotel, but strangely I didn't how I felt about that. I didn't move from my position against the railing and kept my eyes on her while she moved to stand near the sidewalk, where my car was parked, to get a taxi.

"What about your car?", I asked curiously. She briefly faced me before turning around to search for taxi.

"I left it at the office", she answered, her back facing me. I didn't bother to know more and just waited a while for her to hail a taxi. She didn't seem that bothered by my reluctance to leave just yet. After a while of waiting I sighed softly and pushed off the railing and walked over to her.

"I'll drop you back, get on Kim Hara-ssi", I told her. She seemed a little surprised at my offer and was about to say something about it but I explained further, "It's hard to find a taxi at Hangang Bridge and it's already so cold Kim Hara-ssi you're slightly shivering". I gave her a small smile and without hearing a reply I went to the other side of the car and opened the drivers side of the door. I looked up to her but she was still standing there staring at me in confusion.

"Quick, I'm about to get frostbites if I stand here any longer", I urged her. She finally out a chuckle and moved to the passenger seat. We both got in and thank god we did cause it really was cold standing out there for nearly an hour. I quickly turned on the heater, started the car and finally set out to her hotel. This was the second time I was dropping her off and I reminisced about the last time this happened. Looking back it was funny night since she was muttering the whole time and spouting comments about Yong San-ssi and Chul San-ssi drunken antics. I didn't realise I was smiling until I saw Hara-ssi looking at me with an amused expression.

When she noticed that I noticed that she saw me smiling weirdly she asked, "Why don't you share what you're smiling about Han Directornim? Let's laugh together". She seemed amused based on her expression, but instead on being embarrassed I smirked.

"Are you sure you want to know? I think you'll regret it...", I asked with teasing eyes. I was still faced towards the road so I didn't know what expression she had on so I continued. "I was thinking the last time I dropped you off to your - "

"Nevermind", She stopped me. From the corner of my eye I could see her ears all read and she looking at everywhere but at me. Not wanting to be the only one embarrassed, I continued.

"Why? It was funny... you were muttering the whole tim -"

"Han Directornim.... wow there really isn't any traffic now surprisingly right?", She said changing the topic. I could see an ongoing traffic in 500m so I raised an eyebrow at her. She turned away from me and looked over her window.

"...ah you said about calling me Directornim when I'm not cute?....", I pushed again trying to get a reaction out her. If it was possible she turned even brighter red and still didn't face me. I chuckled quietly and  decided to stop. "Okay okay.... I'll stop now", I assured her and continued to drive. I could hear the breath of relief beside me.

"But then..", I started and I felt her stiffen beside me a little, but continued anyway, "That night did you bring your car?", I asked. If I remember correctly, she had her own car which she drove around. If she brought her own car she could have for a designated driver instead of a taxi which later cancelled on her.

"Ah..", I guessing she seemed surprised that I wasn't teasing her now and sounded relieved. "Yeah, I brought my car that night", she answered.

"Then how did you get it back?", I asked again, this time asking to keep the conversation flowing. Part of me didn't want some kind of awkward silence and another part of me just wanted to... know

"One of my colleagues helped me fetch it the next day", She answered. I let out a hum of understanding. Her hotel was close by now so the conversation seemed to drop there and we fell into a comfortable silence. Within a few minutes, we reached her hotel I stopped at the entrance.

"Thank you Han Directornim for dropping me off.... and accompanying me earlier", She thanked me and smiled. I nodded at her and told her that it was fine. She was about to get off when we both stopped at a strange sound. She looked over to me and her eyes travelled down briefly to my abdomen, and I'm pretty sure I turned red.

Really tummy... now?

"Ahem... I'm sorry for taking your time again Directornim", She apologised but her eyes mean anything but that. I looked everywhere but at her but still answered her.

"Ah... ahahah... ahem.. it's fine I'm just a little tired... it was really cold so... yeah", I closed my eyes and just stopped myself from saying anything more embarrassing. She looked like she wanted to say something but didn't. She nodded slightly and got off the car. I sighed out loudly and watched until I saw her figure disappeared into the hotel entrance and started my way home.

God I was hungry.

Once I reached home, I was too tired and it was already half past nine which made me rethink whether I should just sleep instead of eat, but my stomach seemed to disagree. I tiredly dropped off my belongings on my couch and went to make ramen. After it was cooked, I took out the kimchi that halmoni made the other day and ate my late dinner. Thinking about halmoni, I made a mental note to visit her soon.

"Yeong Sil-ah, what's my schedule for this week?", I said out loud. Surprisingly Yeong Sil listed and told me my schedule. After mentally noting down when I would be free, I asked Yeong Sil to play some classic music.

"Your fortune for this week - ", Yeong Sil started. I sighed out and shook my head but it was probably because I was used to this, I realised I was slightly looking forward to know my fortune this time. " - it seems you going to face some heartbreaking news, but to face this news you will need to open up to somebody close you. Everything will look brighter if you are true to your heart". I stopped eating and stared at my ramen with concern. I shook my head to snap my thoughts from drifting off to somewhere dark.

Everything is going to be okay....
