"The... Password?" Camila furrows her eyebrows.
"Did I stutter?" The male guard says.
Camila swallows and looks around, wondering if the others are watching.
"You're acting real shifty, girlie. Are you sure you should be here?" The male guard questions. He eyes Camila's outfit. "You look like you're one of us," He says.
"Because I am," Camila says.
"Then you should know the password," He says.
The first guard comes to join the second. "What the hell is the hold-up? Say the goddamn password," The female says.
The guards reach for their blades and Camila resists the urge to take a step back.
"I... Uh... The password is..." Camila trails off.
As she stares into the male guard's eyes, she feels a familiar sensation within her mind.
It's the same feeling as when she touches the fragment pieces of paper... When she sees visions of memories.
"Well?" The male guard says.
Camila's heart pounds in her chest as her vision begins to tunnel.
Time seems to slow as she continues to stare into the male guard's eyes... Deeper and deeper.
And then suddenly... She finds herself within a bizarre landscape with no sign of the guards or the Unchained's den.
"What the hell? Where am I?" Camila whispers.
She looks down at her hands as they seem real enough but when she tries to grab her wrist, her hand passes right through it see.s that all connection with her body has been severed.
"Well, this is... New. And weird," Camila says.
As she better examines her surroundings, she notices little portals cut into the air all around her as they line up along a path, branching off into dead ends.
Camila carefully approaches a portal, seeing a familiar background through the hole.
"Is that... Claire's mansion?" Camila furrows her eyebrows. She takes a step back, uneasy. "I'm suddenly getting a very bad feeling about this," Camila says.
But she sees no other way as she takes a deep breath and steps through the portal to find herself back in Claire's mansion. "I don't like this one bit," Camila whispers.
Seconds later, Claire herself comes around the corner. "I said I wanted it neat, not on the rocks. I'm going to break your face, Bennet," Claire speaks.
"Oh shit," Camila whispers as she goes to hide behind a pillar.
"I... I'm sorry. Please forgive me," The Unchained guard says.
The Unchained guard. He used to be one of Claire's houseboys?... Camila thought.
She steps out from behind the pillar but no one sees her.
Whoa... Camila thought.
"Make it again. Correctly this time," Claire orders.
She throws the glass at him and he ducks just in time as it shatters against the wall behind him.
"And pick that up," Claire says.
"Yes. Right away my mistress," The Unchained guy says.
"Yikes. Poor guy," Camila frowns.
She slips back through the portal to return to the spectral landscape.
"So all of these portals are that guard's memories. This must be his... His mind place or something. I had no idea my powers could do this. Maybe... Because I'm a vampire now?" Camila speaks. She takes another look around, getting an idea. "If these are the guard's memories then that must mean the password to the Unchained's den is here somewhere. But where do I even start?" Camila questions.
