A Sacrifice

Marinette's POV

"I've done it Emilie,"

Gabriel's face lit up.

"I've finally done it!" he chuckled evilly, holding the cat miraculous.

"No!" I shouted, trying to break free from Nathalie's grip.

It was no use, she had the power of a miraculous and I was just Marinette. Plain old Marinette.

Gabriel took both of our miraculouses and placed them in one hand.

"Unify!" he shouted

A bright white light covered the room, nearly blinding all of us.

Nathalie let go of me and covered her eyes.

I used this opportunity to run towards Gabriel to attempt to grab the miraculouses but the white light pushed me back onto the floor next to Adrien.

"Adrien! Wake up!" I cried

He batted his eyes open

He jolted up and help himself up with his hands. His eyes travelled to my own and a look of fear that i've never seen from him struck me.

The white light settled into a small kwami, it looked like mix between both Plagg and Tikki, along with a white tail, gold designs trailing along it.

"I am Goliee, the result of the unification of the cat and ladybug miraculous." the kwami stated, rising up towards Gabriel's eye level.

A loud cackle erupted from Gabriel and he looked at the kwami with determined eyes.

"I wish to bring my wife, Emilie back from the dead!"

The kwami looked down.

"I must warn you, there will have to be a great sacrifice for your wish,"

The villain looked at me and smirked.

"That's what she's here for,"

My heart sank to the floor and I looked at Adrien. He wrapped his arms around me, covering my face with his hands.

"Father, no! You can't! Please! Mother will never forgive you! She wouldn't want this," Adrien cried

A visible look of anger washed over Gabriel's face.

"Don't speak to me like that! It's not your decision, it's mine!"

"Your father is right Adrien, you're going to have to let go of her." Nathalie stated

I hugged Adrien tightly as a tear from his eyes dropped onto my head.

"It's going to be okay Adrien," I reassured, wiping his tears away although I wasn't completely sure it would be okay.

"Sir, I'm not so sure that your plan will work the way you hope," Goliee informed

The kwami stood with their arms crossed, shaking his head in disapproval of the wish.

"That is most definitely untrue! I've done my research and it will work and that's all that I care about! I wish for my wife to be alive!" Gabriel shouted

"As you wish,"

I prepared myself to be pulled into the afterlife but instead Adrien collapsed to his knees and began to cough violently.

Hey Guys! Just letting you guys know I might not be updating next week because i'll be in the mountains skiing! I've got two tests tomorrow or super hard units, send luck my way because I'm not sure how well this is going to go.
