Chapter 8 - Reunited

"I told you only if you feel up to it, Freya," Padme scolded, when she found the young Jedi waiting in her apartment.

"Actually, you said to 'meet you in the Chancellor's office if I feel up to it,' this is your apartment, M'lady," Freya replied with her signature smirk. Padme just rolled her eyes before walking toward the balcony to admire the view but Freya stopped her, "I do not think that would be wise, M'Lady. There could be a sniper out there. You should stay in here," Padme scoffed and looked at Captain Typho.

"I agree with Padawan Skywalker, M'Lady. It was a very good suggestion," he told her truthfully. Sending a small smile Freya's way.

"I feel like I'm in a prison," Padme huffed as she sat down on the sofa.

"We only wish to keep you safe, M'Lady," Freya spoke, looking at the stubborn Senator for a moment before moving her gaze to Typho, "I'm going to do another sweep. Make sure there's nothing unusual," she whispered, receiving a nod from the man. She left the room, making her way towards the Senator's room. She carefully scanned every part of the room, making sure that there was no breach. Once she was satisfied, she moved onto the other rooms.

"Obi! Obi! Obi! Mesa sooo smilen to seein yousa." Jar Jar cheered, shaking Obi Wan's hand.

Obi Wan smiles at the Gungan, "It's good to see you again, Jar Jar,"

"Senator Padme," Jar Jar called, attracting the attention of the woman sat on the couch, "Mesa palos here! Lookie... lookie... Senator. Desa Jedi arriven." gesturing to the two Jedi beside him. Padme stood from the couch and walked towards the Jedi. Obi Wan bowed to her as she approached.

"It's a great pleasure to see you again, M'Lady." he spoke, politely. He took her hand in his and shook it gently.

"It has been far too long Master Kenobi," she smiled to him, her gaze drifted to the tall, brown haired boy that stood behind him, "Ani? My goodness you've grown" Obi Wan stepped aside as Anakin took a step towards her.

"So have you... grown more beautiful, I mean. Well... for a Senator, I mean." Anakin stuttered, as his master stood behind him, uncomfortably averting his gaze anywhere else. He suddenly found the blue walls very interesting.

Padme laughs with a shake of her head, "Oh Ani, you'll always be that little boy I knew on Tatooine." she smiled before turning to sit back on the couch she was sat on when they arrived.

"Our presence will be invisible, M'Lady, I can assure you." Obi Wan promised as he went to sit on the opposite couch with his apprentice.

"I'm Captain Typho, head of Her Majesty's security service." he introduced, standing beside the Senator's couch, "Queen Jamillia has informed you of your assignment. I'm very grateful you're here, Master Jedi. The situation is more dangerous than the Senator will admit,"

"Yeah, she's been a real pain in the-" Freya started as she walked in, stopping when she saw there were others present, "Sorry. Didn't mean to interrupt," she said as she walked behind the Senator's couch, scanning the windows as she spoke. She then turned to look at Padme, "But he's right. You are very stubborn,"

Padme tried her best to display an annoyed expression but she just couldn't help the subtle smile that crept up on her face. Once Freya had completed her examination of the window, she leant on the wall behind Padme. Anakin's eyes observed the new girl. She seemed familiar, like he knew her. Like they had a bond. At the same time, Freya was trying to analyse the boy. She knew it was Obi Wan sat beside him but was that really her brother? Their eyes averted back to Padme when she began to speak again.

"See. I don't need more security, I need answers. I want to know who is trying to kill me." she spoke, and a frown made it's way onto Obi Wan's face.
