It was almost dark out when you awoke. You sat up, the scent of chicken and fried vegetables filling your senses.

You rubbed your eyes a turned to see Hinata cooking something in your kitchen.

"Oh, you're awake. I hope you don't mind that i'm using your stove, I was getting hungry and I thought you might've been too." He said turning to face you, while giving you a grin.

"Yeah, I don't mind." You got up, re-wrapped the blanket around yourself, and walked over to where he was standing. "Whatcha makin?"

"Just leftovers from the fridge." He replied, looking up from the pan to smile at you. You gripped your blanket tighter and gave him a small smile.

"Looks good." You spoke while walking over to the window sill. The window was still open, and it was slightly raining outside. The rocks you painted, sat drying still, on the window sill with a plant your mother bought a few weeks ago.

(A/N: i was listening to A Burning Hill while writing this part and it just fit so well for some reason. anyways i just wanted to say that bye)

"It's kinda gloomy out." Hinata said through the crackles of the food frying in the pan.

"I think it's nice. Calming." You replied, continuing to look out the window.

"Yeah, the sound of rain is nice." He replied smiling to himself. "The foods ready if you want some."

"Oh yeah, I wanna see if it's any good." You replied walking over to Hinata. He let out a small chuckle at your little joke.

You both dish out plates. Hinata had reheated some leftover chicken with some veggies he found in the fridge. It was a simple meal really, but it was very good.

Hinata was definitely good at cooking, even if it's just stuff thrown together.

"Holy crap, this is good." You muttered, while stuffing your face.

"Thanks Y/N! Glad you like it!" He smiled at you. You smiled back.

You realized he smiles a lot, and you never used to smile that much, only because there really was no reason to, other than to make people comfortable. But when Hinata smiles you don't even think before you smile back. His happy attitude really rubs off on you.

You both finished your food and you were sitting on the couch, watching whatever was on TV.

"Does your mom work late?" Hinata asked, looking over to you.

"Yeah, she works most of the night. What about your family?" You inquired, shifting your weight to face him more.

"My moms busy a lot, and Natsu really likes to play with me, but I get so busy with volleyball, so I try make time for her on the weekend."

"Aww that's super sweet." You sang. It must be nice to have siblings.

"Yeah, What about your family?" He questioned.

"Just me and my mom. My dad passed away when I was little." You replied, acting like it didn't bother you.

"Oh I'm sorry, that's horrible." Hinata consoled you while giving a genuine smile.

"It's okay, I was a baby so I don't remember any of it." You replied.

"Ah, I see." He muttered, turning his attention back to the TV. You then checked the time, it was almost 9pm. You knew your mom wanted you to go to bed early because you were sick.

"It's getting kinda late.." You mumbled quietly to yourself. Hinata looks to you.

"I can leave if that's easier?" He says pointing toward your door.

"Oh, uh yeah, I don't want to seem pushy, but my moms gonna kill me if I have someone over night.." You stammered. You wanted him to stay, but that was for another time.

"Oh its not problem, I need to head out anyway. But I better see you at school tomorrow." He chuckled as he got up from your couch.

"You can count on me!" You stood quickly. He walked over to the door and you followed to say goodbye at the door.

"Bye Y/N, sleep well." He smiled, giving you a wave.

"You too, Hinata." You replied and wrapped your arms around him, blanket and all. He accepted your hug and wrapped his arms around you.

He then left, and you pulled the blanket around you tighter. You missed the hug, even though it only happened a few minutes ago. It was a nice and warm squishy hug, but all you could think was that you loved it.

As you walked past the door, you could see movement outside the window.

It looked as if Hinata was dancing around, while walking towards the direction of his home.

You giggled to yourself while you watched his little show.

"He's so cute, look at him go." You said, then clasped a hand over your mouth once you realized what you said. You had meant to say it
in your head but you said it out loud anyways.

That night, you fell asleep with no worries at all.
