There was only about 2 days left of the training camp. You watched that days games and almost fell asleep.

The games weren't boring at all, you just slept horrible. Which made you more upset, because now you were grumpy, and you hated feeling angry and snappy the whole day. You especially hated being mad a people when it has nothing to do with them.

"Hey, Y/N?" Yachi lightly tapped your shoulder, sensing you were irritable.

"Huh? What's the matter?" You asked, facing her, cocking your head to the side in an questioning matter.

"Oh nothing, I was just wondering if you're okay. You don't look too good."

"Ah, I just didn't sleep well last night." You responded giving her a tight smile, and turning back to face the game, trying to keep your mind blank.

"Okay well, I know you don't know me super well, but i'm always here if you need to talk to someone." Yachi finished.

You turned back to her, smiled, and gave her a nod. She returned the gesture and you both went back to the game.

You really hoped you could keep your friendship with Yachi, even after the training camp.

~~~
"Hey Yachi, could I talk to you in private?" You asked her at the end of the day, when all the games were over and it was almost time to eat.
"Oh sure of course." She said as the two of you walked off.
Kageyama saw this from around the corner, and he decided to leave it. But his curiosity got the best of him and he followed far behind.
Hinata was talking with the other team members, and they didn't notice the three of them sneaking away.
"So what's going on Y/N?" Yachi asked, sounding concerned. You looked around to make sure no one else was in the room.
"Okay so I recently started seeing colours, on my first day here. Because I noticed Hinatas hair colour was orange."
"Wait really? Aw you're lucky, everything is black and white for me still." She made a pouty face. "So Hinatas hair is orange?" You giggled.
"Apparently. So I think that he's my soulmate, and I don't know anything about romance. I'm scared his soulmate is someone else." You looked down at your shoes and suddenly noticed every detail about them, from the stitching to the colour. You almost didn't catch what Yachi was saying.
"Im not a professional, but I'm pretty sure if you find you're soulmate, they will have the same soulmate. Like it goes both ways. I read that on some blog." Yachi smiled at you, doing her best to reassure you, even though she could be wrong.
"Well then how do I tell him how I feel?" You nervously played with your hands as Yachi and you talked more about your plan.
Kageyama stood at the door of the room you were in, straining his ears to make out some of your conversation. He didn't even feel that bad about eavesdropping, until footsteps and voices flooded the hallway.
He immediately stopped and acted like he was checking his phone.
Hinata walked out talking away to a blonde guy with longer hair and a guy who looked.. emo? Kageyama walked over. He could barely make out Y/N and Yachis conversation, but he made out a few words.
Seeing colours.
Soulmates, and
Hinata.
It was getting dark out now, and everyone was getting ready to sleep. Except Y/N. You were getting ready to launch your plan into action.
It wasn't super special or interesting, but if it went your way, you were happy with the outcome.
The sun was just setting, so you knocked on the door of Karasunos room, bracing yourself for what you would see behind that door.
Yamaguchi answered and gave you a smile.
"Hi Y/N! Is there something you need?"
"Hi! I was just wondering if Hinata was in there?"
Just then Hinata suddenly popped up next to the door. Yamaguchi opened the door wider to let Hinata out. He then waved and closed the door.
"So what's up Y/N." He crossed his arms.
"Uh I wanted to show you something, come on." You slightly smiled, and signalled with your hand for him to follow you.
Hinata has a big grin plastered on his face as he followed you out of the building.
After you arrived outside, you led him to the west wall of the building.
You sat on the grass and patted the ground next to you, so he came and sat down next to you. You were quite nervous and tried your absolute best to stop your hands from shaking.
Hinata was about to speak before you started with your little speech.
"So I know what you're thinking. 'Why are we here'. Well I just wanted to show you the sunset. Because it reminded me of your orange hair." You said. You then mentally slapped yourself for not just getting straight to the point like you had practiced.
"That's so sweet Y/N." He shifted his gaze from you to the sunset. You continued.
"Um so, I thought I'd get it out of the way. I think we're soulmates."
Hinata paused for a moment. Processing it in his little brain.
"Wait so you lik-," You cut him off.
"Hinata Shoyo, I like you." You finally got out, and looked at the ground. Not daring to look at his face. It had gone quiet so you finally looked up.
"What's wrong?" You asked in the gentlest tone you could muster.
"Sorry, I've just never had any of my crush's like me back." He looked around. "Is Kags pranking me? Or is this real?"
You almost didn't realize he called you his crush. Which made you a bit worried he could hear your heartbeat.
"It's real, no one else is here." You reassured, as he looked back to you from the sunset.
He then very suddenly, grabbed you, and pulled you in for one of the best hugs you've ever had. You hugged back with the same energy.
The two of you then sat, hand in hand, looking at the hues of the sunset, until it was too dark to see any more of the orange and yellows that painted the sky every morning and evening.
