This is a mini one shot and has nothing to do with the story so you can skip it if you want to, but this is about if Kaede didn't die in the first trial and instead someone else and that's the basic and through writing will help you understand.

Kaede's POV

6 people left me, Shuichi, Kaito, Maki, Himiko, and Tenko. Nobody has a clue of who it could be, I've been with everyone for 3 weeks and me and Shuichi have been hanging out more. (Budum tish, I'm sorry I love Kaede so dont accuse me of anything) Yet there has been something wrong with Shuichi, he's been ummm more clingy, it could just be he's scared for the two of us. But my thought process was broken by him starting to talk to me," Kaede ummmm you look lost in thought I just wanted to check up on you, are you ok?" This why I have like the fattest crush on him he's nice and a bit cute and more," I..I'm ok." "That's good, I want to make sure your not the next victim. You were almost in the first class trial and I can't lose you, because I've spent the most time with you and it's going to hurt 10x worse than usual." He smiled at me," Th....Thanks Shuichi for caring for me." That's when we heard a knock on the door," Kaede I'll go and answer it." Here opened the door and found Kaito on the other side of it," Hey Shuichi and Kaede." "H...Hi? What are doing?" They were whispering now but I could catch a few words," How's your..... Kaede been going? And also.... have clue..... who..... is it?" Shuichi started talking," I don't think she......back and the potential...... might be.......because.......right." Kaito then just nodded and left the room," Shuichi what was happening?" He slightly smiled and answered," Well we talked about who the potential Mastermind is." I pouted," Shuichiiiii, that's not all you talked about you were talking about me, I heard Kaito." "That's personal." " Do you think that I'm the mastermind Sh...Shuichi." He looked shocked and kinda of sad," Of course not! Your like my b..best friend." He nervously laughed, I was confused why he stuttered," Hey why did you stutter when you said I was your best friend." He started to regret his words," The reason why is because I'm the reason why your here suffering."  " W..Wait Sh...Shuichi y..your the mastermind." After I said that his facade faded and he started tp laugh loudly," *laughs* You thought I was innocent the entire time *laughs* I basically put Kokichi here to find out more about the people who I don't talk to. I most likely will kill everyone here except," He said on a lustful voice," For you Kaede it'll just me and you," I tried to walk away," Wait just a moment if you tell anyone I'll make a custom execution for everyone again except for you but you'll do the executing." He then grabbed me by the shoulders and kissed me, if he wasn't the mastermind I would enjoy this but I can't so I pushed him away," Shuichi did me basically counseling you and your self esteem mean anything to you or did you just take that all for granted?!" He started to laugh,"You'll know soon because." He stopped and we heard the body discovery and Monokuma said the usual," There it , byeeee." And he just left the room, I went to the murder scene and Shuichi was acting like he was before he told me, normal. The person dead this time was Himiko," N..No why her, I bet it was one of the degenerate males." Tenko cried, I saw Shuichi have a little smile and giggle a bit I then whispered in his ear," You monster killing people for entertainment for yourself." "Hey I'm the mastermind. I. Can. Do. Anything. I. Want." I was absolutely disgusted that I had feelings for this maniac," I guess it's time for another investigation." Shuichi said and I just glared at him," Nobody has a motive except for getting out of the school." Kaito stated, Tenko was crying in a corner cursing herself out for protecting her. While Shuichi and Kaito were investigating well at least Kaito was, I was there thinking how I could tell them that Shuichi is the true mastermind with evidence," Kaede what are you doing search for evidence." Maki said," Oh sorry yeah I'll be going." " Why are you acting weirdly?" "Uh the reason is I don't want to explain for..... more reasons." She tried to continue to ask but gave up after a while, Shuichi came over to me and hugged me. It felt nice like all his other hugs but I can't be like this near the mastermind but I can't help but feel a bit safe within his embrace,"Why did you hug me you freak!" I said that louder than wanted and everyone looked at me and Shuichi," K..Kaede, you know what it's fine." And he started to walk off but before he left Tenko dropped kicked him," You degenerate male, I wish I could've done that to the culprit." He then got up and kept walking, after like an hout of investigating there was an announcement telling us that we needed to head to the trial and we all headed there and stood at our stands(The trial went exactly like the last trial with who murdered the victim in the first trial but instead of the secret chute being in the girls bathroom it's in the boys) "Shuichi if you want to tell me I'm wrong be my guest but your the true mastermind Shuichi Saihara The Ultimate Detective!" He didn't hide no more but instead started to laugh," *claps* Wow you figured it out and it's quite humorous to see you all in despair, I'm sorry everyone for fooling them but not really." Kaito looked in disbelief that his best friend was really the mastermind," Bro, this has to be some sort of trick or some sort of sick prank or joke right?" Again he started to laugh," Oh it's sad to see such a good character go to waste." "Sh..Shuichi what d..do you mean by that?" I could tell the Kaito was scared when he asked," Kaito for you to come so far yet stay so stupid is impressive." That's when Maki had enough and went over to Shuichi's stand and started to punch him," You do not call my friends stupid or make fun of them or else I'll-," "You'll what!? Kill me*laughs* well of course you would that's all your good at, killing people and-." Maki punched again," Killing me won't do anything you'll just be stuck here! *laughs*." Maki just stopped and threw him onto the ground and went back to her stand, Shuichi then slowly stood up and went back to his stand also," Ok now I told Kaede this before the murder but told her not to tell you, but she asked me if all of her counseling was all for granted and my answer is yes! It was all for nothing because *chuckles* your all fiction! *laughs*." Evryone was confused of what he meant," You degenerate were you the who killed Himiko?" He stopped laughing," Well of course who else would." That's when Tenko stood up but I stopped her and asked," What do you mean we're all fiction, do you mean that literally or metaphorically?" " Literally dumbass," Shuichi said," All your feelings are fake and everything is a lie." We stood there dumbfounded, were we really fictional or is he lying," Anyways I'm not letting hope win this time and I'm just going to punish all of you, wait except for 1 person and that's Kaede Akamatsu!" They all looked at me like I was a bad guy," Guys I didn't do anything he just told me before the murder happened." I said," Kaede we believe you, but Shuichi why just her and not us! I'm pretty sure when we worked out together you again took that all for granted." He smiled," Well the reason why I only picked her is a reason you know already Kaito and yes all the workouts and all your motivation speeches meant nothing at all." "The reason why you saved Kaede it's because you have feelings for her right." He gave a light smile,"Yeah and also her character is very liked on the fandom." We again were confused of what he was talking about, but when he explained what he was talking about," That's why despair will win this time." "Shuichi then these "lights" could've been shown to you." I stated," Well that could've happened but where's your proof." I had no evidence so I just stayed silent," Well I guess it's time for the execution." As Monokuma talked for the first time in a while but just the words he always said but for some reason it hurt more," Let's give it everything we've got, it's punishment time!" He then his button and showed everyone except as Shuichi said me and him, he then grabbed me to keep me from saving anyone of them. And soon enough the same grabbers took them away too, Shuichi made me watch, (Kaito's was the same as the one in the game) next was Tenko she was in a Akido match with a bunch of other people until they outnumbered her and killed her that way, last was Maki, hers was an assasination that went wrong. She was caught trying to kill someone and she had to go down a straight hall way and she was followed but it didn't matter she was shot dead anyways. " *Laughs* Well looks like fans like this ending." I just looked and started to cry," Hey don't cry I'll take good care of you." Right now here sounded and acted like the old Shuichi but my life is going top turn into a living hell.

This plot most likely been used many times before but I wanted to take a try at one shots and I liked it so there might a bit more in this book to kinda take a little break from the book's plot. Have a good day!
