Shuichi's POV

I woke up and Kaede was still sleeping, last night was nice. I got up from the bed and started changing, Kaede is nice, the complete opposite of me. I stood up and looked at our clock, 10:30! It was already 10:30, I ran out of the room and down the stairs. I was stumbling down the stairs and I was able to make it downstairs without falling down, and made it to the cafeteria. It was our social place really, we didn't stay in the lobby or any of our rooms just the cafeteria. I entered the cafeteria and everybody was just there sitting on the benches socializing," Hey there Shuichi." Maki said, everybody waved at me," Heard Kaede won a piano contest down the street, you could've told us and at least I would've been there." Kaito said," Yeah your right you'd be the only one that went, no offense Shuichi." Maki gave Kaito a little nudge on the shoulder that she was kidding, he laughed," Looks like Kaede and I won't be the only ones dating soon." Kaito and Jayden looked dead in my eyes, I forgot about Jayden but it was just more amusing," Hey where's Kirumi?" Jayden asked," Oh she's looking for a job today." He smiled and went back to talking to Kokichi, Kokichi has been quieter lately he hasn't been the same really.

I went up to him and Jayden and sat with the two of them," How are you two?" Kokichi looked at me," Fine Shuichi, how are you?" "Fine." I told him, Kokichi smiled lightly," I've been thinking to just have something we can all enjoy but you know what will happen if I even try to suggest something." I nodded," Question, how did you two get to be friends?" Jayden smiled," Actually it during one of the dinners, I saw Kokichi and went up to him because he seemed well left out of everything so I checked up on him. That moment we realized we could be good friends." I was happy that these two were fitting again.

" Just asking what was this plan of yours, Kokichi?" He smiled," Of course just a simple game night." " Honestly that's not bad, something to do for the night." Kokichi hugged me," Glad we can become friends once more." I smiled lightly and stood back up, I walked towards Kaito and Maki," Hey you two." Kaito have me a thumbs up and smile while Maki just waved and nodded," What do you need Shuichi?" Kaito asked," Just checking in on how you guys are doing." Maki smiled," We're doing fine, and how's Kokichi doing? As much as I hate that little gremlin he's still a friend." Maki said, I'm surprised that Maki even showed a little compassion to him," He's doing fine, he just had a plan of having tonight." Kaito smiled," Sure! We'll come." Maki nodded in agreement,"Hey Kaito. You know what to do when we start playing." I winked at him in the friendly way.

I went back upstairs to check on Kaede and when I opened door she was still sleeping peacefully, I think she's had enough for one day. I went up to her and shook her a little, she didn't wake up, I shook a little harder and nothing again. I tried tickling her and all she did was roll over, I then threw her off the bed. She didn't really do anything but she did wake up," Where am I? Shuichi? Are you there?" She was very disoriented," I'm right here Kaede." She looked up and looked down at herself,"Did I fall?" I gave her nod, she got up and hugged me," Good morning Shuichi." " Morning." I gave her smile and she looked at the clock and freaked out," It's 11:00! You couldn't have woke me up early!" Kaede freaked out," Why are you rushing?" She calmed down and sighed," I don't know I've just been so uptight lately." I hugged her again,"Well get ready and head downstairs, ok." She smiled and went to the bathroom.

I don't think this going work out at all, I'm just having doubts about this relationship. She's talented, I'm not. She's beautiful and then look at me I hate my looks, I hate everything about me. I should've died in the hotel, I'm truly a burden. I was so caught up in my thoughts I didn't notice Kaede was trying to talk to me," Shuichi? Earth to Shuichi?" I put my head up and looked at her," Are you ok?" I nodded," Yeah why wouldn't I be." " Ok Shuichi let's get downstairs." She kissed me on the cheek," Let's get downstairs." She frowned," Shuichi you're not ok, what's wrong." I looked down in shame," Just done insecurities nothing to big."
