Job Finding

Kaede's POV

Christmas was... well messy. It was on cleaned up on New years, new year, new me. I need to get back to my passion of piano, I need something to do. " Kaede you ok?" My line of thought was broken with Shuichi asking me a question," Yeah, it's just I want to do something productive." He silently agreed, I'm pretty sure that we both don't want to be dependent on someone else's money and we want to live life how it's supposed to be. Independent.

The only other person that has a job is Jayden we could probably use some advice from him," Let's get to Jayden, he's the only person with a job." He smiled," You got smarter." O felt a bit offended, but I also felt embarrased,"H..Hey! That insulting!" He started to chuckle," No, it wasn't, it's supposed to be a compliment." I sighed and dragged him to Jayden's room and knocked," Jayden, open the door!" Shuichi questioned my actions," What are you doing!? Why are you so loud? It's 6 pm. Be more quiet." " Okay fine." We waited there for like 2 minutes to no avail," I don't think he's home."

Shuichi said," Nooooo, you think?" Somebody cleared their voice from behind Shuichi," Yeah, I don't think he's home, but I do know where he is." We looked at the person behind Shuichi, it was Jayden," Kaede you're so loud. I could here you from the lobby and you're 3 stories upwards." He laughed,"We just needed your help, but I guess we don't need it no more." I was hoping that having some sort of guilt triping he would break, and nothing happend," Okay, that's fine. You guys don't need me." I'm pretty sure he did that just to see my face," Ok, Ok. We need help on finding a job." He smiled," Okay then come in." He opened the door for us and invited us inside, his room was nice and simple. Nothing too much or little, Shuichi was talking to Jayden, but I was just wandering around," Kaede, you wanted to talk right? Get over here." ( It's so hard to think of dialogue) I went over to the couch and sat down close to Shuichi,"So you needed my help?"

I almost completely forgot why we were here in the first place," Oh yeah, ummm I wanted to know how to find a job..." There was an awkward silence until, Jayden made a guttural laugh," You really need help with something like this," I nodded," Ok then, so first what I recommend is apply for a job application somewhere of your liking usually found on the website, second what you want to do is hope that you can even get an interview, but with your guy's popularity finding someone too interview you will be easy, and say the right things and again hope that you make it."

Shuichi just laughed nervously," That sounds like just a bunch of hoping that you make it through." Jayden nodded," I mean it depends on the occupation, but that's how mine went." " Thanks Jayden for the help." He just smiled," Anytime." We left his room and went downstairs,"Shuichi." "Yes?" " Do you ever regret doing an action that did?" He was taken a back by the statement, I don't know why he's so taken a back by it, that's when I finally realized my mistake," Oh, I'm sorry Shuichi. I didn't mean no harm, I just forgot."

I can't believe I forgot something super important to Shuichi," It's fine, why do you ask." I really feel bad for saying this especially since we're dating now," Just having a thought, the last week of last year was so bad because of me. If I didn't say yes or have thought about us dating longer none of the problems would have occurred." He stopped on the stairs," Are you ok? Shuichi?" All suddenly, he grabbed me by the waist and pulled me in for a kiss. I was surprised, yet so exilerated. We then broke off," Kaede, it may have solved the problems, but all the memories it wouldn't happen either." He put his hand on my cheek, I turned a violent red.

What is Shuichi doing?! Why right in the stairs," Sh..Shuichi ummm," I blushed harder somehow," Thanks, it's just a thought that's been circling my mind." I calmed down, he smiled softly,"No problem, honey." We went downstairs and sat in the lobby, I put my head on his shoulder, he smiled,"Where are planning to get a job?" Honestly, I did have an idea and it might work," I might just play in some competitions game some clout and become one of the more popular pianist in the country." He thought about the my plan and he agreed," With the popularity you have, you can grow really fast. It's smart." " Thank you Shuichi! What will you do?" He had to stop and think," No matter how much I hate it, I think being a police officer or detective would be the best choice. Everything else that has to do with law needs years of college, so I thing that this is the best option."

I guess we both have an idea of what to do," Shuichi, just a thought umm do you want to try now?" Shuichi's confused face says that he doesn't know what I'm talking about," Sign up for jobs." He laughed," We barely learned how and we have plans that may not work." Shuichi has always been like that, he's too cautious. I need him to try new things," Shuichi don't worry remember everything is getting paid for until we get a job." He sighed," That's the point, I would like to do some things before we have to use our own money." I felt kinda've dumb for that, makes sense most things are too expensive, but it got into my head too much," Well let's at least check out jobs."

" Fine, but take your time we're still 17 don't waste your youth." I got excited and hugged Shuichi tightly and we went back upstairs and I brought out my computer.

Shuichi's POV

Oh my goodness, what did I get myself into. She's moving way to fast for my regular pace, literally. Kaede dragged me up the stairs to our room," Jeez Kaede! Slow down!" She smiled, her smile is so bright," Don't be so loud Shuichi." She giggled, I can tell she was mocking me, we finally made it to our room and Kaede grabbed her computer and started researching jobs," Kaede." She looked at me dead in eyes, I started getting nervous. The only thing keeping me on edge is that this is my girlfriend and her eyes are so beautiful," N..Nevermind." She looked concerned,"Are you ok Shuichi?"

"I'm ok, just thinking." She nodded," You can tell me anything, isolation can do things to the mind." I chuckled, she was looking at nearby piano contests,"There is one actually being hosted in the restaurant that you brought me a couple nights back." That's what I like about Kaede, she's mature when it is important. At the same time she can be really immature, and it can be kinda've cute," Should I go tonight, Shuichi?" My train of thought was broken," If this is truly what you want to do as your job then do it." She smiled brightly," Thank you, I was thinking do you want to come with me?" I smiled," Of course! Why wouldn't I want to go to my own girlfriend's contest."

She chuckled," Ok, I get it. Well get dressed, I just signed up." She went to our room excited, I hope her plan goes well. It's a long shot, but it might just work if she goes to higher up competition, after a while she comes looking amazing. She had a long purple dress, her hair was a bit curled, her eyebrows were straightened,( I don't know how girls do their eyebrows but I think I'm doing correct?) she had a little blush on. It kinda've made my heart flutter," H.. How do I loo-." "You look amazing Kaede." I cut her off," Oh, thank you." She smiled causing her to blush," I'll go get ready." I said and I went to our room and looked at my closet, two outfits came to mind. My tuxedo or my detective uniform.

Kaede's POV

I sat down on the couch, I was getting butterflies. It's been so long since I've preformed, our bedroom door opened,"Kaede how do I look?" I turned around and saw Shuichi look completely different, he had a tuxedo, his hair was slicked back, a tie, and he looked great," Shuichi, you look amazing." He blushed," Thanks Kaede, what songs are planning to play for the contest." The songs I was planning to play may mess me up considering I haven't playing," Fur Elise and Clair De Lune."  He smiled," That's your favorite song isn't." It was more of a statement then a question, I silently nodded. I checked my phone it was 9:00 and realized we dressed up to early. " You just want to head downstairs, nobody's going to be there. We'll just wait until 9:30 to a call a cab."

We went downstairs and sat in the lobby," Shuichi I'm nervous. It's been a while since I've played in front of a crowd. What if I mess up?" He smiled softly," You don't need to worry, you'll do great. Trust me, you're wonderful with crowds and you play wonderfully." Footsteps were heard coming down the stairs, it was Maki. " Hey Maki! What're you doing up this late?" I don't she even noticed us, considering her surprise of seeing us," I could ask the same thing, why are you guys dressed up so nicely?" I almost completely forgot why we were dressed up in the first place,"Piano concert." She smiled," And Shuichi is coming with you?" I nodded,"It's kinda've late for a contest?" I checked my watch 9:27," Sorry Maki, but we need to go." She waved goodbye and we called a cab and went to the restaurant.

I'm so sorry. I'm sorry for being so late, I promise a lot of things but I can never keep them and I hate that feeling so please forgive me.
