CHAPTER 29 : LUNAR ECLIPSE
D-day. The Commemoration is bound to happen. On the first day, everyone will honor the people they lost during the ambush through prayers and candles. On the second day, they will gather in the forest where the bloodshed fight, wrath of the rogues took place.
Mew checked the time after dozing off, feeling the sun hit his face directly. It has been almost forty minutes since Gulf left, but he decided not to be pessimistic and got up the bed, heading to the shower to prepare himself for the long day ahead.
As soon as he got out of the shower and finished changing, a fellow night walker came to escort him from his cabin to the main hall.
Mew dismissed his colleague and went straight to his father’s office.
“Ready?” The Head Alpha asked upon seeing Mew.
“Yep”
“Here’s what I’m asking you to do. Accommodate the visitors, prepare the buffet along with your circle and guard the borders when the ceremony starts. Is that fine?” The Head Alpha asked.
“Yep, anyways is everything set?”
The Head Alpha nods, “I got everything covered, don’t worry” ending his sentence with an assuring smile.
Mew nodded and gestured that he’ll head out earning a pat on the shoulder from the Head Alpha.
Right when Mew got out of the Main Hall, he stumbled upon Gun and the others who seemed like they just left their cabins.
“Perfect” Mew muttered as he spotted them.
“Hey! Help me out” Mew calls out.
“Sure” The six says in unison.
Upon hearing that, Mew and the others headed to the long table where the buffet will be displayed when suddenly Mew groaned out loud. Clutching his stomach as if he felt someone just punched him right to the gut.
He bit his lip stifling a groan as the immense pain just kept on going.
“Mew? Are you okay?” Joss asks, patting his back.
When suddenly a sharp blow was brought to the back of his legs causing him to fall on the ground.
Mew groaned again, swallowing the urge to cry out loud.
He took a good five minutes before he straightened his posture and exhaled.
It was painful but Mew who also has natural strength within him managed to recover from that easily.
“Y-yeah I’m good.” Mew says as he continued to walk, his mind going places as he asked himself what just happened.
The others gave him strange looks.
That was very unusual.
But they decided to brush it off, refraining themselves from being distracted from their tasks.
With the seven of them working on the buffet table, they managed to finish it in no time.
Saint walked off a few meters and got himself a bottled water.
He opened it and was about to drink from it when he noticed an approaching silhouette.
He put down the bottled water and squinted his eyes to get a clearer view of the silhouette.
When he realized, it was Gulf!
He immediately ran towards him upon noticing that the other was walking strangely.
