I let out a bored sigh as I wandered through the castle halls of headquarters, it was late...or late for someone who wakes up at peak of dawn. I was restless, I tried laying in bed but I had this urge in my legs to get up and start walking around.

"Squad Leader you sh-"

"Shut up Moblit and go get me some more damn tea!" Screamed Hanji, I raised an eyebrow as a porcelain teacup shattered against the stone wall just missing the window and Moblit scurried out of Squad Leader Hanji's room going to clean up the cup. I placed a hand on his shoulder causing him to let out a small gasp looking up at me with wide eyes, he had dark circles under his eyes tired telling a story that blatantly said he'd be awake for days with little to no sleep since Hanji was determined to find out about titan-shifters after learning of Eren Jaeger.

"I'll go make her some tea and give her what she wants, go get some sleep." I said giving him a sympathetic smile, he let out a sigh of relief

"T-thank you Squad Leader _______." I gave him a small nod in response and walked to the kitchen. I made two cups of Passionflower tea and a tin of cookies placing the small porcelain teapot on a tray walking to Hanji's room seeing Moblit gone along with any evidence of the shattered teacup.

I tapped my index knuckle on the dark wooden door causing the mad scientist to grunt and look up at me, her pencil in between her tea. My breath hitched in my throat, she looked beautiful, even more than usual, her long brown locks were freed from its usual ponytail and now down on her shoulders, her stray greasy bangs in her face.

She was wearing black shorts that stopped barely mid-thigh, a white under shirt that gave a small peak at her tanned skin and scars on her stomach. Her usual yellow button down undone and rolled to her elbows and crinkled everywhere else 'if only Levi could see her like this, he'd have a heart attack' I smirked at the thought and shook it away before she looked up at me, a small smile painted her lips before turning into a frown.

"Oh, hello ______. Where's Moblit?" She asked narrowing her eyes at me skeptical that Moblit pushed it off on me, her left eyebrow twitching up in a suspicious arch

"He cleaned up the cup and went to bed, I made you some Passionflower tea and chocolate chip cookies, well not the cookies but they're still warm and soft from earlier." I smiled sitting next to her playing the tray beside me sliding her a cup taking mine and grabbed a book

"You wanna help me?" She asked sounding astonished, I nodded and smiled slurping up my tea as I read the book.

I frowned as the last of my tea quickly disappeared from its cup and into my mouth and sat up stretching and yawning. I scrunched up my nose as I realized my ass hurt from being sat on for so long, my legs were in pain from being in one place for so long since they were so use to being worked all hours till they collapsed on top of my bed.

I looked at all of the notes we had written and mentally whined at how much more there was looking at Hanji who was forcing her eyes to stay open as she read. I frowned and filled up her cup, no wonder she acts the way she does, she's up all hours of the night and day doing this bullshit and for what? For her fellow comrades to call her insane and get harassed by Lance Corporal Levi.

"Hanji ar...oh hello _______, why are you still up?" A familiar voice interrupted my thoughts causing us both to look seeing Commander Erwin standing in the door way looking just as exhausted as Hanji

"Hello commander. I was just helping Hanji, she has a lot of work and I can't sleep." I shrugged smiling softly trying not to show the drowsiness that I was suddenly feeling, I was amazed by how distracted I was to notice this all till recently

"She's been a lot of help. We're almost finished, I promise Erwin." Hanji spoke up, she wasn't anywhere close to as chipper as normal

"Okay well I'll be back in an hour to check on you, you need your sleep Hanji, you too _______, trials are tomorrow." We nodded and shared a glance before saluting him

"Sir yes sir!" He rolled his eyes as we laughed, exhaustion sure does make the weirdest things funny.

We were both leaning against the foot of her bed, our legs laid out in front of us, her left leg over my right leg as we read in silence. After a while my eyes traveled over to the woman sitting next to me, she had pulled her right leg up to her chest lazily, her foot under my pant leg with her big worn out book resting on her thigh, the temple tip gently in between her teeth as she stared at the book, her eyes flickering across the words but it was obviously she wasn't even bothering to read the words

"Beautiful." I muttered staring dumbfound at her, my mouth open in the shape of an 'o'

"Hmm, did you say something ______?" She asked looking at me slipping her glasses back on, I reluctantly tore my eyes away shaking my head

"N-no." I stammered repeating the word a few times before going back to being silent as my cheeks dusted with a rosy red hue. After I finished my part of the research I leaned back against the bed resting my arms stretched out on the bed gently playing with her chocolate brown locks

"Don't tell shorty my hairs greasy or he'll murder me." She mumbled as she finished her last book, I chuckled downing the rest of my tea and began twirling more between my index and middle finger, so soft and thick. I gently moved my fingers to the hair in her face pushing it behind her ear causing her to glance at me, her lips twitched up into a small smirk.

I leaned in brushing my nose against her cheek teasingly kissing her cheek moving to her ear placing a soft kiss on her lobe

"Beautiful." I murmured, my eyelids half closed moving to her neck placing a kiss towards the nape of her neck leaving a hickey feeling her tense up and Goosebumps quickly covered her skin, though she smelled like sweat and titans she still smelled of lavender. I sat up a bit positioning myself in front of her face, my fingers entangled in her hair turning her face towards me brushing our lips against each other, hers were surprisingly warm and soft, still wet from her tea

"Kiss me before I fall asleep _______." She whispered softly, her eyes closed, I snorted pulling back a bit before crashing my lips onto hers kissing her passionately, she fell over sideways, I smirked and turned her onto the bed straddling her hips deepening the kiss.

"You two are supposed to be sleeping, not making out on the floor." We pulled away staring at one another for a moment before turning our head to the door seeing Erwin leaning against the door frame, arms crossed over his chest with an arrogant smirk laced on his lips

"This seemed and is more fun." I retorted arrogantly smiling innocently at him

"Yeah! Midnight kisses are always more fun." Hanji chirped
