Mikasa couldn't help but smile as he watched his friends, or what was left of them, dance, sing, and stuff their faces with glee over the Titans being finally gone. The male felt his stomach flutter with worry as he couldn't find ______, and like always he hurried off to find her to make sure she wasn't getting into trouble.
"Shit!" He heard a voice yelp, followed shortly by a thud, and he was right beside his best friend attending to her scraped knee
"Why do you always hurt yourself?" He gave her a rare chuckle earning a red hue in response, she simply shrugged and watched as he dabbed the blood away with his blazer sleeve
"Why do you always come looking for me?" She mocked with a teasing smile, but the question made him give her his usual somber look and cupped her cheek
"I'll always come looking for you ______." He whispered instinctively sliding closer to her
"The titans are gone Mika, that promise ended when we slayed the last one..remember?" Her voice cracked a little as she remembered them huddled together for warmth as orphans, listening to the titans still active, three hours after dark, and she was in tears. The male shrugged and pulled her into a tight embrace
"That promise ends the day we die now...you're not getting rid of me for a while ________." He murmured and nuzzled her neck, inhaling the familiar scent of lavender and freshly baked bread from her kitchen duty a few hours before
"Fine with me." She mumbled resting her chin on his shoulder, closing her eyes and the two swayed back and forth. The two married a year later, surrounded by their comrades and friends cheering them on, and within a month of marriage they were pregnant with their first child, the next year they had another son, and five years later they have a little baby girl who was named 'Nadia' which means 'Hope', because they were afraid of losing her to a premature birth.
