"When will Miss Welsh be back?" Xander asks.
"Yeah, she's been gone for, what, three months?" Willow adds.
"She should be back today. She moved back to her apartment, so I have no clue as to when she will arrive."
"Did you tell her about Cordi?" Xander asks.
    "Yes, as you instructed."
"Good, did you tell her about the vengeance demon?"
"Anyanca? Yes, she knows not to make wishes to strangers anyway."
"Are you still not really talking?" Buffy asks.
"You mean after she lied to me? Yes, we aren't speaking."
"Well I mean, how do you bring up a dead fiance?" Xander asks.
"An undead fiance. I told her about Jenny, she could have told me about Lucifer."
    "Lucas," Willow corrects him.
    "Whatever."
"Don't be bitter, Giles. It's not a good look," Buffy says.
"I'm not bitter. But she wouldn't kill him, she's obviously still hung up on him."
"Or she can't bring herself to kill him because they were in love."
    "Exactly, feelings, emotions."
"It's hard to kill someone you care for. She distanced herself."
"Another thing she lied to me about."
"I'm sure it was just the familiarity."
    "You killed Angel."
"That took a long time and the death of someone close to us."
"What are we talking about?" Sarah asks walking in.
    "Computers."
    "Books."
    "Demons."
    "Spells."
"Wow, that's a lot to talk about," she chuckles.
"So, does anyone have an old um, Vampire boyfriend they want to talk about?" Willow asks.
"Ah, yes, Buffy. How is Angel?" Xander turns to her awkwardly.
"Xander, that's alright. Willow, Rupert is a big boy. He can talk to me himself."
"I do not need a," Giles stops himself, recognizing his angry tone. "I don't need Willow to speak for me."
"Really? So you've been avoiding me this past month...for fun?"
"That's our cue," Xander says and they all leave Giles and Sarah alone.
    "I haven't been avoiding you."
"Well, you haven't been jumping at the opportunity to talk to me."
    "I'm still processing."
"What? That I have an ex? Big whoop. Most people do."
    "No, you lied," Giles yells.
    "I did not."
"You said you came here to find me. To get away."
    "That wasn't a lie."
    "What was it then?"
    "It was..."
"It doesn't matter what it was. You weren't and aren't telling me the whole truth."
    "You don't need it."
"You won't kill him. You protected him. Why?"
"Because he protected me. I owe him that much."
"You don't owe a vampire anything."
Sarah huff's, leaving the library and Giles sighs.
"Harsh," Cordelia says from the balcony.
"How long have you been there?"
"Pretty much the whole time. I don't see what the big deal is. She obviously didn't want to talk about what's his name because it hurts her. Not to mention he obviously had a huge impact on her life. If I were you I would just ask her how he protected her."
"Cordelia will you...thag actually makes sense.
    Cordelia smiles brightly.
" I'm sorry, about you and..."
"Me too. Giles, it's too late for me and Xander, but you obviously have feelings for Sarah and she has feelings for you. Don't let her go. It will be the biggest regret of your life."
"That's very poetic for you, Cordelia."
"Well, getting cheated on and impaled will do that to you."
"Well, I'll go...I'll go find her."
Giles moves towards the door when Sarah walks back in.
"I'll leave," Cordelia says, running out of the library.
    "Sarah..."
"Giles, don't talk, just listen. I'm sorry I didn't tell you, I didn't know I was going to see him again. I can't change the past, but I was you in my future."
"Sarah, I want to know about you. Everything about you. I care for you and I would love to sit down and have a conversation about everything. Us, our pasts. All of it."
Sarah smiles, "I would love that."
