hope's pov saturday, december 5th
"come on, babygirl, get up," billie said softly as she shook me awake. "we've gotta get to the airport."
"i don't wanna." i groaned.
"yeah, you do; this trip is all you've been talking about recently."
"true, but i wanna sleep."
"you can go to sleep in the car if you just get up."
i sighed. "fine, i'm up."
i knew the flight was gonna be a couple of hours, so i had just slept in what i was gonna wear on the flight; a pair of sweatpants and one of billie's oversized, long sleeved t-shirts.
she held her hand out for mine was i put on a pair of shoes. i placed my hand in her's, following her outside to finneas's car. we had already packed our suitcases into it earlier, so all we had to do was leave.

"have you ever been on a plane before?" billie asked as we sat in our seats.
i shook my head. "nah, this is my first time."
"damn," she mumbled, then gave me a smile. "well, your first time flying gets to be in first class."
"that's pretty swag." i grinned, making her laugh.
we waited as everybody else got settled. after a while, a lady came over the intercom to tell everybody that the plane was about to take off. billie's hand found mine, holding it tightly.
"sorry, i have to hold someone's hand when we take off." she admitted shyly.
"you're so cute." i murmured, giving her hand a comforting squeeze.

"who are you listening to?" billie asked.
"conan gray; his music is so good. have you ever listened to him before?"
"a couple times," she told me, then raised a brow. "do you really like his music?"
i quickly nodded. "yes. i love him, dude. he's amazing and his music is too. you wanna listen with me?"
"sure."
i handed her an airpod. "this is 'comfort crowd' it's one of my favorite songs of his."
