hope's pov
saturday, august 29th

the next morning, i woke up with my head pounding. i held my head in my hands as i sat up, looking around.

where the hell am i?

i couldn't really remember anything from last night, except that i had left kaiden and lexi to go over to billie. she had made me a drink, and judging by how shitty i felt, i got drunk.

the room i was in had red led lights, giving the room an ominous glow. the room itself was an average size. there was a louis vuitton blanket hanging up on the wall and i could faintly see writing peeking out from it.

i looked to the nightstand, seeing my phone. i unplugged it from the charger that was plugged into it. i had a few messages from kaiden and lexi, so i responded to them. when i clicked on mine and kaiden's messages, i noticed that somebody had sent him a text saying that i was leaving the party early.

i stood up from the bed, suddenly noticing the clothes i was wearing; oversized shorts and a big hoodie.

i walked out of the bedroom, walking down the hall. i found my way into a kitchen, stopping when i saw billie in there, leaning against the counter as she scrolled through her phone. she looked up, noticing me.

"oh, you're awake," she acknowledged. "how's your head feeling?"

"not so great." i laughed a little, pulling up the hoodie sleeve so that i could rub the back of my neck.

she nodded, walking over to a cabinet. she pulled out a bottle of pain relievers, then a glass, filling it up with water. she walked over to me, handing them to me.

"here, this should help."

"thanks." i mumbled softly, swallowing the pillow. i drank the whole glass of water, handing it back to her.

she brought it over to the sink, setting it in it. "do you remember anything from last night?"

"um, not really, if we're being honest."

"nothing at all?" she asked, almost sounding a bit hurt.

"no..?" i said slowly. "did something happen?"

"it doesn't matter," she muttered. she slipped her phone into her pocket. "i'm guessing you need to get home?"

i nodded. "yeah."
