╮we're back╰

Carson walked into Han's shop still in her waitress dress and her bag over her shoulder. She walked into the back room and paused when she saw Bombay asleep on the couch. She turned to the double doors that led to where the skates were made. Charlie looked up from the skate he was about to push through the blade sharpener and smiled at her. She pointed at Bombay and pulled her eyebrows together.

"He's back now," Charlie mouthed and nodded towards Bombay with a small smile. Carson nodded and smiled back at him before continued to the bathroom. Once she was done changing, she pushed the double doors open and quietly pushed them shut. She picked up the skates Charlie had finished sharpening and walked over a row of cabinets against the wall. She pulled one open and grabbed a box of shoelaces and sat it on the counter.

"Am I using black laces or white for this pair?" Carson asked as she lifted the lid to the small box and pulled out one shoelace of both colors.

"White for that pair, black for the ones I'm working on," Charlie answered and put the blade at the entrance of the skate sharpener. Carson picked up another white lace and started sliding them through the skates.

Charlie started sliding the skate through and pressed harder than he meant to. Carson cringed at the buzzing that came from the machine and dropped the laces to cover her ears. Bombay jerked awake and sat up to look at the Conway siblings with a panicked expression.

"Sorry, did I wake you?" Charlie asked Bombay as he pushed the doors open and he and Carson walked into the small living room area.

"Charlie's not great at sharpening skates yet but he's slightly better at that than lacing and detailing the skates so we'll take what we can get," Carson joked and shrugged a shoulder.

"Not everyone can be good at everything they do like you are, Carson, geez," Charlie said and shoved her shoulder.

"Hey, guys," Bombay said as he pushed his blanket off and stood up.

"Hey, Coach," Charlie said and hugged him. "It's good to see you."

"It's good to see you!" Bombay said and pulled away from him.

"We've missed you a lot," Carson said and hugged him.

"For breakfast, my specialty;" Jan started as he entered the small living area from the back room and Bombay pulled away from Carson and the three joined in, "Jans Hasenpfeffer and eggs."
