Carson stood on the bench and braided Connie's hair with her lips pressed together. She vaguely listened to the conversations of her teammates before glancing into the crowd to look for Bombay. She sighed heavily and pressed her lips together harder as she turned back to Connie after failing to see Bombay in the crowd.
Once she was done braiding Connie's hair, Carson grabbed her shoulder and stepped off the bench. Carson motioned for Connie and Julie to come closer to her and the two stuck their heads together.
"Let's have an ultra girls night tonight," Carson whispered as they wrapped their arms around each other's shoulders. "We can do our nails and eat way too many chips."
"Too many chips make me break out," Julie said and gave a sad half-smile and shrugged.
"Okay so we can skip the excessive amount of chips and it doesn't have to be tonight. Just as long as it's before we leave LA," Carson said and bit the inside of her top lip.
"Stop conspiring and join our conversation," Guy said and walked over to the girls. Carson jerked back when Guy tickled her sides and he laughed as he continued over to Connie.
"What were we talking about?" Julie asked as she readjusted her shoulder pads.
"Probably the bad case of cooties that Charlie gave the rest of the boys," Carson said and the three girls doubled over in a fit of laughter.
"I don't have cooties, Carson," Charlie groaned and threw his empty water bottle at her, hitting her in the neck. Carson stopped laughing to throw his water bottle back at him and started laughing when he attempted to duck away.
"So why do you not have cooties, Princess? You live with him," Dean said and threw another at the back of her head.
"Stop throwing bottles at me or I'll give you the foot fungus growing in Adam's socks," Carson said and rubbed the crown of her head. She grabbed the bottle and hit Dean in the shoulder before throwing it at him. "Besides, girls don't get cooties. It's just a boy thing."
"There's no foot fungus in my sock and there's no such thing as cooties," Adam said and grabbed Carson to pull her into a headlock. Carson twisted and pulled away from the headlock and pushed the stray hairs from her Dutch braids from her face.
"Then why are they crawling around your dorm floor at night," Carson said and grabbed both of his cheeks.
