Chapter 5- The Secret

Felicity's is sat on the floor of her apartment playing with Aria when she here's a knock at the door. She gets up to answer it and finds Oliver stood there.
"Erm...yeah come in" Felicity says anxiously knowing he wants an explanation. Oliver nods and walks in and sees Aria playing with her toys, she was so content. Like she never new she could of died the day before.
"Sit down" felicity said motioning towards the sofa. Oliver sat down.
"I know why your here you want an explanation and I do owe you one." Felicity hesitated "well here goes. Four years ago when I was at M.I.T my boyfriend hacked into the Department of education and erased our student loans, I didn't know he was going to do that. The virus we made was for noble causes but cooper was...abusive and I was scared of him. Luckily the police caught him and he was arrested. A couple of days before his prosecution cooper killed himself. But I received a letter that day saying he would find me and make me pay, so I knew then he faked his death and was after me. So a moved away and changed my name."
"Wait you real names not felicity" Oliver asked with confusion.
"Nope it's Freya. So I moved down here to starling city. That's when I started having morning sickness and I found out I was pregnant with Aria, I was so scared and I had no one to help me. But I couldn't get rid of her. Since the first scan when she was just the size of a pea I had already fallen in love with her, so I decided to do it on my own." Felicity eyes started to water so Oliver placed a hand on her knee to reassure her it was okay.
"I couldn't let cooper hurt her so I kept her a secret. The only people who know are my brother and Arias nanny Kelly, and now you guys. Oliver if cooper finds out he has a daughter he will come for her and I can't let her go through the abuse that I went through. I can't do that to her" felicity said looking at her daughter who was so happy. Oliver placed his hand on felicity's cheek.
"I will never let anyone hurt you or Aria again, you hear me" Oliver said with genuine concern.
"Thanks, and that's why the other day when you said you...loved me. I had to go because I couldn't let anyone find out about her. I mean you are not the most safest person to be around"
"Felicity it's okay you did what you had to, to protect you family."
" and Oliver I'm so sorry about injecting you with the needle....he made me he said he would kill aria if I didn't and I couldn't let that happen"felicity said now fully crying. Oliver cuddled her trying to calm her down.
"Hey it's okay I understand you did what you had to do"
"But ..." Oliver cut her off before she could get anything else out
"No, no buts we are both alive and that's all that matters"
"Mommy are you okay" aria asked
"Yeah sweetheart I'm fine now" felicity said looking up at Oliver with a smile on her face "sweetie this is mommy's friend Oliver"
"Hi Oliver" aria said shyly cuddling up to her mam
" hi it's nice to meet you Aria"
"Are you my mommy's boyfriend" aria said cheekily
" no not yet but I would very much like too one day" Oliver said looking up at felicity. Felicity tried to hide the smile that was appearing on her face and Aria started to laugh.
