FIVE YEARS LATER, KIT WAS
standing on the changing room when she heard a rustling behind the door.

She opened it before seeing Erik standing there. She basically leaped into his arms and he laughed.

"Good to see you too Kit," he said and she chuckled, pulling away from him.

"Its been five years," she said, defending herself and Erik laughed it off.

"Yeah, I've got a little girl, Nina, she's 2, I kept trying to visit but she would always get ill - just trying to annoy me," he said with a laugh and Kit smiled, listening to him talk about his little girl.

"Its good to see you again," she said and he nodded.

Later that day, Kit stood on the stage at Harvard with a diploma in her hand. She changed her tassel to the other side and looked into the audience.

She smiled as she saw Hank, Charles and Erik all sitting in the audience. Well, Erik was standing in the back in disguise but he had a huge grin on his face.

She also looked over to see someone familiar standing in the back on the opposite side to Erik.

It was Peter Maximoff.

He smiled at her and Kit looked at him with a smile, confused as she looked at him.

He had grown up quite a bit and she just smiled at him, feeling her heart flutter about it.

Stop!

No, she didn't feel that way when she looked at Peter. That's not right. She ignored the feeling as she walked over to her brother and Charles at the end of the ceremony.

As she looked over at Erik, she realised he was gone and she sighed.

"I'm so proud of you Kit," Hank said as he pulled his little sister into a huge hug, a grin on his face.

"Thanks Hank," she said before leaning down and hugging Charles who was in a wheelchair.

"I'm proud of you too Catherine. English and History, those are some good degrees," he said and she chuckled.

"Yeah, well I'm not science geeks like you two losers," she said.

"I was thinking, we go get a celebratory take out when we get back to the house, I think the kids won't love being left alone so long," Charles said jokingly.

"You two head back," she said, looking over at Peter who was standing by the wall, "I need to talk to someone,"

Hank nodded, hugging his sister again before him and Charles wheeled off. Kit walked over to Peter.

"Hey Kit," he said, pushing himself off the wall and walking over to her.

"Peter. What are you doing here?" She asked and he smirked.

"Well, I kind of missed you. And I heard you were graduating from Harvard so I thought I'd pay you a visit," he said, taking a deep breath. "And ask you on a date,"

Kit smirked, looking at Peter.

"You want to take me on a date?" She asked, almost not believing what he was saying to her.

"If you want. There's a small diner I saw on the way, my treat of course," he offered, looking at her a little worried

Kit thought about it for a second before nodding her head, Peter letting out a deep breath he hadn't realised he was holding.

They got out of his car, Peter running round and opening the door for her before she had the chance, which just made her laugh.

"Come on," he said, holding his arm out jokingly and she laughed. Kit linked her arm with his, both of them smiling as they walked inside. She hadn't seen Peter for 5 years but neither of them appeared to have aged a day.

They sat down at the booth, a woman dressed in an old 1950s dress. They ordered, both of them chatting about their lives during the five years.

"You still living with your mum?" She asked as she took a sip from the strawberry milkshake, smiling at the 22 year old across from her.

"Yeah, Lornas 10 now so she keeps getting on my nerves, Wanda moved to England, something about Cambridge," he said, updating her as he took a sip from his milkshake.

"Thats nice," she said, the two engaging in small talk for a while.

Kit could feel herself falling for him, him and his corny jokes and cheesy pick up lines that just made her laugh.

She didn't know how she hadn't seen it before and she was just falling head over heels for the quick bastard.

At the end of the date, Peter payed for the milkshakes before the two started to walk down the busy streets.

More laughs were exchanged between the two and Peter knew that he was just as obsessed with her as he was 5 years ago when they broke into the Pentagon together.

They sat down in a nearby park, Kit listening to another one of his stories. "I've had loads of fun today," Peter said with a smile and Kit nodded.

"Me too, I haven't had this much fun for ages," she explained.

The two stared at each other for a second, neither knowing what to say.

His eyes flickered down to her lips and the two leaned closer together. Peter leaned forward, their lips connecting before he abruptly pulled back.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have, I should have asked" he said, regretting it.

"Shut up and kiss me again," Kit said and he smirked, leaning in to kiss her.

As their lips connected again, she placed her hand on the back of his neck, trying with the hairs at the nape of his neck as they made out in a public park.

When they pulled apart, Peter smiled at her. "I guess this means I can take you on another date?" He asked and Kit chuckled.

"For sure," she said, kissing him again.
