"WE KNOW WHERE JEAN IS," SCOTT said, looking at the three with desperation.
"I thought you said you couldn't track her," Kit explained, a hand subtly resting on her stomach - an action that Scott noticed.
"It wasn't me who found her," Charles explained, looking at them.
"It was Erik. Hanks with her. They're on their way to her and they're gonna kill her," Scott explained.
"And anyone who stands in their way. Kurt, I'd like you to take Scott and I there, but that's all, I want you to leave us there and then come home," Charles ordered.
"And me and Kit?" Storm asked, looking at the girl next to her and then at Charles.
"I'm not talking to you now as X-Men. Scott and I will go and fight for Jean without you. Storm, I have lost so many people I love. I'm not going to ask you to go and I'm not going to allow Kit to leave," Charles explained.
"I am," he said, "But not you Kit, not in your condition,"
She narrowed her eyes at him, shaking her head as she realised he had noticed.
"Be safe for me okay," she said, walking over and pulling Scott into a hug.
"I will, and you bring Jean home for us," she said and he nodded.
She felt like she had to protect Scott after everything that happened to his brother, and she wasn't going to let anything about to any of these kids.

NINE MONTHS LATER, SHE SAT IN THE garden with Alex and their little baby boy James Raven Maximoff. She was having a picnic with Storm, Kurt, Jubilee and Scott. They were still grieving but she wanted to make it as normal as possible.
As Kit looked over to the building, she saw Peter walking up to her, his mum behind him with a 24 year old Lorna and a 28 year old Wanda.
"Theres my little nephew," Lorna said, rushing over and sitting down next to Kit and looking at the sleeping James.
"You wanna hold him?" She asked and she handed him to her, the girl rocking her in her arms slightly, a look of awe on her face.
"I want one so bad," she said, Wanda scoffing at the comment.
"Don't, you sound like my girlfriend," she said, looking down at her nephew.
"Wanda, I need grandbabies," she said before Alex ran over, "Theres my little granddaughter,"
She picked up the girl. Kit smiled at them, happy that they had this little family. But she also wanted Jean, Alex and Raven and everyone that they lost to be there with them.
Peter walked over, pressing a kiss on the top of her head before standing up, laughing at Storm who faked throwing up at the way they were acting.
"Gross, we get that you're the happiest couple on campus, but please, your children are here," Storm joked.
"Reminds me, I got another post card from your dad and Charles. They're gonna come and visit, now that he knows your his kid and all," she explained.
A few hours later, she was sitting in the dining room with her little family, Peter trying to give James his bottle of expressed milk that he just didn't really want.
Then they heard a car and looked out the window to see one person step out, helping another person in a wheelchair out.
They picked up the kids, walking outside to greet them. She could tell how nervous he was to meet his dad for the first time with all the secrets being out there, but Kit reassured him that he'd be fine.
Hank - who was now the headmaster of the newly named Jean Grey's school for gifted children - had beaten them outside, already greeting them.
Peter, who was holding Alex's hand, was staring at Erik, neither knowing exactly what to do in this situation.
"Hey Erik, you want to meet your grandkids?" Kit asked, breaking the tension between them.
Tears welled up in his eyes as he kept his gaze on his son, "I'd love to," he said.
Peter walked over, his hand tightly in Alex's whilst Kit held baby James in her arms. "This is Alex," Peter said.
Erik smiled, kneeling down to get to her height. The girl hugged her dads leg in confusion before Peter explained that this was her grandfather. She hugged the man, tears in Eriks eyes as the young girl attached herself to him.
When he'd finally been freed and was allowed to stand up, Kit handed him the baby, "Thats James, he's three weeks old," she said and Erik smiled at the little boy in his arms.
"He has your nose Peter," Erik said and Peter started to tear up, nodding his head as he looked at his father.
He handed the baby back to Kit before turning to Peter, "I'm sorry. About everything, that I put you through. I should have been a better father," he explained.
Peter chuckled, "Its fine, I turned out pretty okay," he said, looking at Kit and their kids.
"Yeah, I guess you did," he said, placing a hand on his sons shoulder, both smiling at one another.
Kit was tearing up too. She was so happy but at the same time feeling guilty for living when so many of her friends were dead.
But at least she was here, and that's what she had to focus on. Her family, her friends, these younger mutants. She was going to be okay.
