"This entire place is weird. I get the idea of renovating a mansion as a hotel, that's cool. It's the fact that it has a weird ratty hotel vibe. I mean they didn't even renovate it right." You say.

"I cannot argue that." Finn chuckles.

"I mean I'm not trying to be mean but you'd think that innkeeper would wonder why the slime keeps happening." You say.

You and Finn continue walking down one of the many halls in the gigantic house. It's been a while and it's still horrifyingly creepy.

"So you're a demon right, no offense but isn't the hierarchy that you guys are first?" You ask.

"We are not. I hate to tell you that a lot of the things that you think exist that do exist are not how you think they exist." He answers.

"I'd guessed that, everything that shows up looking for a fight swears it can whoop your ass." You reply.

He laughs again, "You're quite amusing.".

"Thank you. I don't try to be." You say.

He smiles. "So, tell me about how it feels to be a new Princess." He says.

"I love it but I don't see anything different. People say I'm supposed to be stronger but I feel like my normal self." You reply.

"That's a little bit of what I was mentioning earlier. We're all just normal people. We just have something about us that is a little unique. Except this spider, completely paranormal." He says.

"I was wondering about that. Where does something like this even come from?" You ask.

"The gates of hell." He answers plainly.

"That doesn't make this any more exciting." You laugh.

"I know, but it's true. This world is beautifully strange." He replies.

"It is." You agree.

You and him reach a dead end and turn back.

"Can I ask you a personal question?" He asks.

"Shoot." You reply.

"Do you still plan to be NXT women's champion?" He asks.

"I do. Triple H hasn't given me another match since I won my debut. I was expecting to wrestle every week." You answer.

Triple H loves you all like his own children. But sometimes some of you fall behind. It's not fun and can often be scary. The only good thing is that the buffer between not being used and not being needed is a lot bigger in NXT.

"You're a bright girl with a gorgeous personality. Not only that, you're the 2021 Golden Prospect! I'm sure you'll find your way back to the scene soon enough." He assures.

"Thanks Finn, You know you're not that bad." You reply.

"Thank you, I try not to be." He laughs.

He suddenly holds his hand out and puts his finger over his lips.

"What?" You mouth.

He holds his hand to his ear and you hear something eating nearby. It's faint but defined by the silence.

The eating stops and he pulls you into a room on the side.

"What do we do?" You whisper.

He gives you a baseball bat laying nearby, "If it comes toward you you hit it." He says.

"Then what?" You ask.

"You hit it again, and again, and again." He answers with a small chuckle.

"Just enough for me to tie it up. But don't worry, I'll be right by your side and it probably won't come to that." He says.

You hear footsteps in the hallway and brace for a fight.

The doorknob turns........

"Get ready." Finn says. You nod and ready your bat.

The door opens and something bombards past you so fast all you see is a shadow and feel the wind from its speed. Whatever it is it causes the entire room to fill with wind and voices.

It quickly becomes deafeningly loud. "Finn do something!" You cry clinging to him.

Instead of his pleasant accent utter a reply you're met with a growl.

He launches into the source of the turmoil and they violently fight a fight unlike many you've seen.

The spider hisses and morphs into its final form. A large black widow with 8 legs and just as many eyes.

You tighten your grip on the baseball bat but it only takes one glance from it's eyes to send you backing into a wall. "I can't breathe." You say gasping.

"London?" Finn asks.

"I—I can't—-" You say struggling to breathe. You hold your chest as your heart seemingly beats 100 beats per minute.

"Are you scared?" Finn asks.

"What do you think?!" You ask.

"You shouldn't be,

You're on Swerved!" He announces.

The lights raise in the room and you realize the whole thing is entirely rigged. "Damian set you up." He reveals.

Damian and the others come out with Shotzi, Rhea, and Pete.

"I expected something like this from all of you, except you Pete." You say.

"I was strung along." He shrugs.

"We wanted to have something fun as payback for you making that fake doomsday prank last month. Why not rent a scary mansion for a vacation too?" Rhea reveals.

The prank in question. A camping trip where you aired a fake doomsday broadcast on the cabin TV knowing they all had no reception. You scared them for atleast an hour. Shotzi was an accomplice.

"Shotzi you helped me do it!" You remind.
"Which is why we enlisted her to help us." Rhea says.

Shotzi hugs you, and you allow it to be as stiff and awkward as possible. "I'm going to bed. Screw all y'all." You announce raising your middle fingers upon exit.

They continue laughing and celebrating.

"Jokes on them. They spent their money on this prank." You think maniacally. You laugh.
