I couldn't help, but to stare at the door to my dorm. There was a longing to stay there, but I couldn't miss my classes without an excuse. What would I be able to say? Nothing came to mind. I wasn't sick. I had no cough. I had no excuse.
My mind would only think about the dream I had last night. Was it a warning about Yeonjun and Soobin? Or was it of Beomgyu? He told me not to trust them, but they've not given me a reason to not trust them. And if so, what was so bad about them?
Suddenly someone bumped into me aa they passed. I gripped onto my books, but my pencil and pen both fell. My eyes shifted to the person who was walking with his head down. It was Beomgyu. I sighed and went to grab my pencil and pen. Beomgyu turned towards me.
"Sorry," he said.
Beomgyu looked a bit nervous and hesitant to say something else, but turned the way he originally intended. I was confused, but shrugged it off. I began to head down the hall so I could get to class. Someone began to call my name. I somehow knew it was Soobin.
-
"Thanks for helping," Soobin smiled.
Yeonjun looked at me eagerly. I felt a bit uncomfortable with his gaze so I told them both goodbye. Just before I could walk out of the door to head to my second class, Beomgyu came in with a box that said "Lost And Found!"
We exchanged glances and passed each other. I began to power walk down the hall. I didn't wish to be scolded by him in reality too. Hopefully my morning teacher would have understood I was taken away to help some student council members. If it was excusable.
-
"Come sit with us!" Soobin motioned me over.
I bit my lip and anxiously walked to the lunch table. Soobin, Yeonjun, Chunha, Beomgyu, and one other girl sat. I expected the girl to look up, but she had her head buried in a book. Chunha only glared before taking a bite of her food.
I decided to settle with sitting down at the end of the table. Yeonjun moved down next to me. It made me feel a bit weird, but I guess it was because I was sitting next to student council members. They all intimidated me in a way. Even Beomgyu. However, I was unsure if he was a member.
"What's wrong?" Yeonjun asked, "You're pale."
"What?" I looked up.
"You're pale," he pouted, "Are you not feeling well?"
He put his hand to my forehead. Yeonjun then let out a breathy sigh and motioned for me to eat. I stared at him confused. Why would I have to eat if I wasn't feeling well? Or could he tell I was nervous just being here. Usually I'd eat in my dorm room.
For the sake of him to stop staring, I went to grab my spoon. Yeonjun grabbed it before me and took a scoop. "Impatient much?" I thought. He then grabbed my chin with his other hand and opened my mouth. Just before I closed it out of embarrassment, he shoved the spoon in.
"Aren't you guys cute?" Soobin teased.
"Don't embarrass her!" Yeonjun chuckled.
I swallowed my food quickly, "Um."
"Of course," Chunha glared at me and then stormed off from the table.
I watched as her hair began to change colors. Was there something I did wrong? Why did she glare at me specifically? Maybe because she liked Yeonjun or something. I didn't know for sure, but I didn't wanna make her angry.
"Don't worry," Yeonjun smiled, "She's just a jealous ex."
"Why would she be jealous?" I asked.
He rested his head on his palm and shrugged gently with a smile. Soobin looked down at his food and began eating once more. My eyes shifted from Yeonjun to Beomgyu. He seemed to be staring hard at Yeonjun. We then locked eyes for a moment. His eyes were glossy, but he didn't look sad.
