"Sorry for being an inconvenience," the teacher said, "but pop quiz!"Everyone sighed in unison. This was our fifth pop quiz from him this week. Beomgyu and I exchanged glances as he passed back the sheet. If there was a perfect time to disappear, now would be it. I wished I was gone right now.
"Why are we having so many pop quizzes?" the new girl asked.
The teacher cleared his throat, "Because, Yi, I need to make sure everyone's knowledge is the same."
"Not everyone learns at the same pace," Yi said.
"Silence," he said.

Beomgyu and I headed out the door as soon as the bell rang. I was glad that class was finally over. Today was a half day, but we still had lunch after. My arms were tired from the activities from earlier classes; carrying books compared to levitating them.
Without a warning, Beomgyu grabbed the books from my arms and began to carry them for me. Not a thing in me wanted to protest. After all, I was tired. Since Soobin was away with another class on a field trip, I had to pull all-nighters. It stressed me, but at least my grades weren't bad.
Yi came up to us from the side with a smile. She looked eager to speak to us for some reason. I stopped for her as Beomgyu took a few more steps and then stopped. He looked back at me and Yi. I was curious as to why she was here.
"Can I hang out with you guys?" she asked, "You guys seem nice and cool. All that good stuff."
"No," Beomgyu said.
"Absolutely," I said.
"Great!" Yi smiled.
Yi grabbed my arm and began walking with us. She had an entire energetic spirit that filled her. It was nice to see someone with a shine in them--besides Soobin. Soobin had to of met her already, right?
"Where are we going?" she asked.
"The beach," I said.
Yi looked at Beomgyu and then smiled. I assumed with that she was going to come whether Beomgyu liked it or not. After all, Beomgyu, Soobin, Chunha, Yeonjun, Paenji, and I did need a seventh person--or a new addition to the small trip. Yi looked like she needed friends anyway.

I was the only one who went in normal summer clothing instead of swimwear. Then again, I was more embarrassed to wear swimwear. Beomgyu even was wearing the correct attire. I'd thought he'd do the same as me, but he was full of surprises.
Chunha and Paenji laid out a few feet from the water. Paenji was reading a book and Chunha was trying to tan. Yeonjun and Soobin were in the middle of the water splashing around. I looked around to search for Beomgyu or Yi. Neither were in sight.
I decided to go to the edge of the water and feel it with my feet. It was strangely warm so I decided to go in further. The water wasn't even close to being cold. I threw my flip flops on the sand and went to knee-deep waters.
Twisting my body towards the sand I let out my arms and began to lean back. My eyes instantly went to Beomgyu and Yi walking towards our group with ice cream cups. Before I could do anything, it was too late. I splashed into the water.
Once I came up and wiped the water out of my eyes, I saw Beomgyu standing in front of me. He was holding out a cup to me. I smiled out of embarrassment and took it. He nodded and took a bite of his ice cream while still staring.
"What?" I asked.
He looked back at the others before stepping into the water. Just when I thought he was coming towards me, he walked past me. I felt a bit disappointed and a little agitated. I hated when he wouldn't answer things.
