The festival was in an hour. This was the final rest I had as well. The past two weeks were just me going to class, studying for an hour after, eating dinner, and then going to sleep. Sometimes I had to wake up early to shower since I'd be too tired to do it after the day.
I had packed my things to go home this weekend for Chuseok. I'd be leaving later on tonight just like most students. I felt bad for the ones who chose to stay here because they didn't wanna deal with their families, but I missed mine dearly.
Soobin asked me to meet him at the library instead of his dorm for studying. We weren't gonna have a long study session today since the festival had to be attended to straight after. I was honestly glad because I had so much crammed into my brain.
I walked into the library and looked around. Soobin came out of the bathroom and waved me over. I clutched onto my bag of notes and books and headed towards him. We finally sat down at a table near the back where barely anyone went.
"You don't mind just hanging out, right?" he asked.
"Why'd you make me carry all of this if we weren't gonna study?" I complained.
"Do you wanna?" he chuckled.
"Not really," I sat it down beside me.
"Thought so," he said, "So, uh, you're going home for Chuseok, aren't you?"
I nodded.
"Why don't you take Beomgyu with you?" he asked, "Or Yeonjun?"
"Why?" I raised a brow.
"Neither of them plan to go," he widened his eyes, "Why not take both?"
"I don't know, Soobin," I shrugged, "I mean- Wait, why are they not going home?"
"Parent issues," he said, "I just feel bad knowing I won't be here with them, you know?"
"Why don't you take them then?" I asked.
"My parents don't like either of them," he chuckled, "Just something that happened a while back. I've been friends with them both since middle school. We've had our issues."
I nodded.
"I guess I can ask them," I said.
-
"Hey Yeonjun!" I waved him over.
We were standing feet away from the entrance to the festival field. He walked over a bit excitedly towards me. I felt a huge sigh wanting to escape my lips before I asked him. He was already in a good mood, so would this make it worse?
"What's up?" he asked.
"Soo-I mean," I cleared my throat, "You wanna come home with me for Chuseok?"
"What?" he asked, "Really?"
I nodded, "Beomgyu might come, too."
The smile wiped off of his face, "Soobin put you up to this, didn't he?"
"What?" I crossed my hands, "No. Why would you think that?"
"Why me AND Beomgyu?" he asked.
"Uh," I thought for a moment, "Beomgyu told me about you guys having to stay here because of circumstances."
"Beomgyu really said that to you?" Yeonjun raised a brow.
"Yep!" I said.
Yeonjun looked back at people coming in. Beomgyu happened to be passing in a few others later. He was motioned to come towards us. Beomgyu looked at me and then started walking to us. We all greeted him with a smile.
