The next day, lying in bed with my head on Jack's chest and his arm around my shoulder, I sigh in content.
He's just cooked me an amazing meal and now we are settled down for bed.
Lucy had generously offered to have Isla for me overnight even though it was a school night.

Jack's phone ringing on the nightstand interrupts our peace. He picks it up and we both glance at the screen.
Cheryl, again.
He cuts off the calls and places it back onto his nightstand.

"Why won't she leave you alone?" I moan.

"I don't know, Rach. I've told her I'm not interested anymore."

"Well, clearly she isn't getting the message." I argue, sitting up and looking down at him,

"I've told her plenty of times! She's just one of the women from my past. It's nothing to worry about."

"A woman who you would take to events then bed afterwards! She probably wants to go with you this weekend! How many more women are going to pop up from your past? Come out of the shadows! Just like the text from the bimbo Julie yesterday."

"Jealous much?"

"Oh, grow up, Jack!" I shout, jumping up out of bed.

"Where are you going?" Jack asks, sitting up and letting the covers fall from his toned chest.

"Home."

"Why?"

"Because I can't have an adult conversation with you while your being a jerk! No, I'm not jealous of your womanising past but I do wish that your notches..." and I point to his bedpost for effect ".... would fuck off!"

I scoop my clothes up and walk into the bathroom, dressing myself in record time. I leave the bathroom, pick my bag and phone up from the breakfast bar and head towards the front door.

Jack strides towards me, still naked, and puts his hand on the door. I struggle not to look down at his gorgeous body with it's hardness and cut lines, but I keep my determination and stare into those beautiful green eyes of his instead.
Which doesn't help either.

"Move." I order him.

"No."

"Move, Jack, I don't want to be here."

"You're being ridiculous."

"No, I am not."

"You really are. You know about my past. You know about the women so just get it out of your head because I'm with you now."

"I need some space."

"Are you still coming to the event with me this weekend?"

"I'm not really in the partying mood."

"Oh come on, it will be fun. Stop acting like a child."

"Forget it, Jack, and let me leave. Take Cheryl." I spit at him.

"Fine!" He snaps, removing his hand from the door.

I wrench it open and leave. I hear him slamming the door behind me and I wince.

How did we go from having a perfect night to me storming out?
