WARNING: I think I was a little hasty putting a warning on Woman With a Crown because I didn't know what graphic was until reading this a month after writing it. It is messed. Up. So much so that I considered not publishing it. I compromised by editing out the most graphic parts, but I'd still exercise caution while reading.

There are many words and titles Zaki would use to describe herself. Agent 3 was one of them. Former ink battler, too. Teacher at the Squidbeak Splatoon Training Academy. Or at least, what there was of it. Founding a school was a lot harder than Mikado thought. Speaking of Mikado, there was also the word lesbian. She was also a sister, an orphan, and a friend.

The one word she didn't use to describe herself was breeder.

A name carried over from the time the social elite would buy their husbands and wives, those called breeders had a genetic mutation that allowed them to have more children and faster. She had inherited that trait from her mother. Her oldest brother, Oyassan, had it, too.

She was able to live most of her life with the fact she was a breeder looming over her shoulder but not letting it take her over. She was a normal girl beside the secret agent part and the lesbian part. No one needed to know she was a breeder.

It was late into the night. Zaki was sitting on the couch watching TV. Her youngest brother and roommate, Biito, was asleep on her shoulder. She wasn't surprised. It had been a long day for both of them.

There was a knock at the door. Zaki got up, letting Biito fall sideways onto the couch. She answered the door to find Oyassan and his Octarian wife, Lasidy, on the other side.

"Zaki!" Oyassan cheered. "I knew you'd be home."

"Of course I am," Zaki grumbled. "It's 8 p.m. Now, why are you coming over?"

"Well, we have something urgent we want to ask you, and it's kind of a sensitive question, so we decided it would be best to ask you in person."

Zaki leaned against the doorway. "Make it quick."

"Lasidy and I have been trying for another baby. You know how much Aluto has been asking for a little sibling."

"Sure."

"Well, they found some lacerations on my uterus that would make it dangerous for me to try and give birth again," Lasidy explained.

"Delightful," Zaki said sarcastically.

Oyassan continued, "But we really do want a second child, so we figured we'd try looking for a surrogate mother, and since you're my sister..."

"What?"

Oyassan said, "We were thinking you could maybe..."

Lasidy joined in, "Carry our child instead?"

Zaki should have seen this coming. "No." She began to back into the apartment, letting the door close in front of her. Oyassan continued to follow you. "No. No. No! NO!" She fled into her room and slammed the door, barring it with her body.

"Zaki, I know you're in there," Oyassan's voice came through the door. "Could you please hear me out?"

"No." Zaki opened the door and gazed straight into Oyassan's eyes. "I want you to hear me out. You've known for a fact that I don't want to have kids. I'd end up hating them. Just like Mom hated me. Just like I hate everybody."

"Look, I understand there's some emotional baggage involved in this..."

"Then let it go!" She turned away and walked further into the room. "I thought one of the perks of being a lesbian is that I'd never have to get pregnant. Please don't ruin this for me! Why are you asking me specifically? Doesn't Lasidy have two sisters? Ask one of them!"
