I woke up like any other morning....at first.

My eyes opened to a brillant rising sun and once I blinked it all came flooding back.

Almost as if I had the nightmare and not Cayden. It was horrible that his parents...his own bloodline had just abandoned him and shoved him on his own. Even as a vampyre I wasn't that heartless.

But now I knew what I had to do:

I'd find an old building for rent; rent it. Then hire workers, pay them a ridiculous amount of money to have the Studio be done in three days. And then all I'd have to do is keep tabs on Cayden, just so happen to "run" into him, tell him he looks like the music type and ask him if he wants to give it a shot at my Studio. Then from there we'd continue to get to know each other and eventually his girlfriend would become insignificant.

I knew I should feel bad about stealing away someone's boyfriend, but since she seemed like so much of a bitch, I didn't really care.

Nodding my head at the plan I had, I watched as a flight attendant almost passed by.

"Miss?" I ask.

"Yes?" She turns and asks.

"Water, please," I say, smiling.

"Oh, of course," she walks away and is back almost as quick. "Here you go," she says with a smile, handing me my water.

I give her another smile and say "Thanks," taking the water.

She leaves and I glance over at my...attraction, soon more or less likely my lover, mine.

I watch him as he sleeps near that...thing. I still wanted to rip her to shreds, but I knew if I did that I'd never get to have Cayden, so I would wait and be patient.

I flicked my eyes away as soon as she awoke and waited for the jet to land.

----

Upon landing and walking out of the terminal, I search my new phone, which I had just bought, for a car rentals. I found that there was one right around the corner.

I walked the few blocks, looking back and instantly spotting Cayden and his woman following.

Must be getting a car too, I thought bitterly as I entered Jack's Car Rentals.

The rental place was dingy, flies hung in the air and stains covered the walls. Luckily, the cars were in wonderful condition. I walked up to the greasy parasite of a man. He looked me over with lazy eyes not even bothering to be discreet, chewing his tobacco.

"Whut can aye do for you ma'am?" He drawled out past his chew.

I was annoyed, actually a bit enraged at the filthy pig.

"You," I burned my heating eyes into his. "Can hand over a set of keys to your nicest car and go on with your day just as you had been. Otherwise your head won't be attached to your disgusting body much longer," I whispered just loud enough for him to hear.

His eyes bulged and he shook from the pressure building in his head. He nodded and bent down to grab a shiny pair of keys, nearly dropping his chew from his open mouth. I stretched out my hand and he dropped them in fast, afraid.

I smiled and nodded then, completely different from just a few seconds. The man shook his head, baffled and weakly smiled back. I turned and headed for the door, practically running into Cayden.

"Oh! My bad. I'm so sorry," I murmured, steadying Cayden.

He looked down at me, meeting my eyes- starting to get sucked in. "No, no. It's not a problem," he said softly.
