I sat at Alleeah's new place; now in Yukon Territory- to be exact Whitehorse. The more populated, the better for her so she could blend in, hide.

Her face was stunned and horrified. I had called Cane earlier and ordered my supplies and gathered my weapons. My rage had died down the instant I'd called Cane. It had to, I wouldn't have been able to think and do much to get Cayden back...

I closed my eyes and thought back to the conversations I just had, my head a mass of throbs and pounds from stress.

"Cane? Cane!" My voice was panicky on the other line as I called my PI. The rage had dissipated from me after I had a reasonable plan to find Cayden, now I just needed Cane.

"Sery? Calm down. What happened?" Cane's cool voice came through the phone smoothly.

"Never mind that. I need you to find out more about the "inhuman" creature you were telling me about and soon. I want to know what part EXACTLY Cooper plays in this. You already know I'm not exactly human therefore that means my blood is precious. I NEED to know if he has it, what he's planning/doing and how. Within twenty-four hours report back to me."

He was quiet for a moment- probably at the mention of me not being human- and then simply replied, "Okay."

I hung up instantly and flashed out. I raced to Alleeah, terrified something had happened to her too. I didn't stop until I was at the door of her hotel room and knocking vigorously.

"What? What!" She complained as she opened the door.

I was too relieved to be annoyed with her complaining and I flashed in, scooping her up in my arms.

"Oh thank god..." I murmured into her into her shoulder.

She tried to pull away, but when she noticed how badly I shook, she changed her mind and wrapped her arms around me.

"What happened?"

She always seemed to know...

I bit back the tears of desperation I had and said, "It's Cayden..."

"Oh shit... Something really did happened to him." Alleeah squeezed me tightly and lead me over to the couch with her.

"What happened, baby?" She tucked a stray hair of mine behind my ear.

"Do you remember why I brought Cayden back with me that one night?"

She nodded.

"Well her name is Ally and she came back again.. This time she took him with her and is threatening his life for my blood," I gulped in fresh air to steady the scenes in my head.

"Why didn't you just use your vamp powers and kill her?" Alleeah asked, her eyes wide.

"Because....she was faster than she had been the night I saved Cayden... She was stronger... I don't know how. Plus she..used Cayden as a shield.. I hit Cayden," My eyes watered before I shoved the tears away. "But I have Cane investigating," I muttered, twirling my fingers in nervousness.

"Hey," Alleeah cupped my chin and forced me to look into her perfect brown eyes. "He'll be fine. You just need to get out there and save him. WE do."

"Oh no. I do, not you. I'd have too much on my plate with a newbie and trying to save Cayden from Ally. You on the other hand are going to pack, right now."

She pouted a bit until I squeezed her hand. She returned the squeeze and got up.

I knew Alleeah understood my reasons very clear. Not to mention I hadn't begun to even figure out which of them to change....
