As I watched the ballroom fill up with people, I suddenly remembered I had a voicemail on my cell from Cane. He had left it on my phone at nine this morning. I shrugged it off, deciding to check it after the blood hunt.

"The plan," I said, answering Cayden. "is to crash one of the parties."

Jay smirked at me. "I don't know how we're going to pull this off."

I waved away his concerns and let my senses take over, building in anticipation. I flashed across the street and continued until I had reached the shadows of the ballroom.

'Are you sure this is smart?' Cayden thought as he stood next to me in the shadows with Jay.

'Of course, there's multiple rooms and we're going to take the smallest. Plus I'm sure each room is sound proof,' I reassured him.

I climbed the stone wall until we all had reached the room which had a large glass window allowing a clear view of inside. I peered at each room and looked from Jay to Cayden.

"Which room seems smallest?"

"The one that's in the back, left corner," Jay said, his eyes quivering with excitement now of the hunt.

I nodded and checked to make sure Cayden agreed-he did. I got up from my crouch and walked around to the other side, just above that section of ballroom.

"Cayden I want you to go find the power switch, it'll make the hunt easier," I told him and watched him flit away.

Jay and I waited until the time was one am and Jay became impatient.

"When are we going?! My throat's killing me!" He grumbled.

Just as he said it the lights shut off and everyone gasped or let out a scream.

"Now," I muttered and took my fingernail drawing a circle big enough for each of us to fit through.

I pulled away the glass, feeling Cayden whoosh back by my side.

"Ready?" I asked.

"Always," Cayden answered.

I jumped through the glass hole and twisted against the free fall- landing, with a crack from the floor, on my hands and knees crouched.

Someone screamed.

Another person yelled, "Stop fooling around!"

Another yet, "Turn the lights back on!"

Soon two more cracks followed- denting the floor and more screams followed then quieted.

Jay raced over locking the door with a click which cause a person yell out, "If this is some kind of amusing joke it's NOT FUNNY!"

I laughed then, "Oh, of course it's not.."

I raced forward slashing the man in front of me to shreds as he screamed. The shrieks all began in an uproar as Jay and Cayden tore people apart- drinking there hot blood. Their screams seemed to never end as one by one they all fell.

They fell...too soon. There was quite a few people in this room, at least a hundred. Even though there was three of us, only two of us were drinking from them. We didn't necessarily have to kill them all, we could have left some alive and at the rate they were dropping I knew we weren't alone..

In the other rooms we heard other people crying and screaming. Apparently we weren't the only ones to think of this...

I felt sticky with blood as I glanced around seeing clearly in the dark- masses of bodies, blood everywhere, ripped limbs, and organs spilling out, tainting the floor. I scanned the room, but could only find Cayden and Jay.
