Give me a reason

Too much

"What is he talking about?" Reece asks, pulling away from me, just a slight bit.

"I don't know." I say too quick.

"I think you do." He whispers.

I look away, avoiding his gaze.

"What is he saying about?" Barclay says quickly.

"I- I- I- I don't know." I studder.

"Don't lie to me!" He shouts, anger is all that is in sight from him.

"It's not that big of a deal!" I shout back.

"It's his fault!" Charlie screams.

"You get drunk and then you hit her! And insult her! And call her fat! And cheat on her! You're nothing! You don't deserve her!" Charlie shouts out, embellishing his every emotion.

"What?!" Casey boasts, looking down at James.

"He's lying! I've never laid a finger on her!" James' coughs up a little bit of blood.

"That is such a lie!" Reece says in such a way that makes you question the entire situation.

"Does he hit you?" Tom asks me.

What am I suppose to say to that?!

I studder random noises, trying to form a coharent sentence. 

"Noni?!" James rushes, I don't do good under pressure. Okay that's a lie I do just not the kind that feels like a million pounds slowly crushing a field mouse.

Help me! What do I say?!

"Tell them the truth Noni!" Charlie shouts.

"I- I don't know." I ramble, placing a ttembeling hand on my forehead.

"He does!" Reece exclaims. "She calls ME crying, I go and pick her up. He does!" Reece shouts, pointing at James lying lifelessly in the floor, his chest moving slow, an up and then down. His eyes still fully open.

"You better not have!" Barclay roars.

"I didn't." James pants.

"Stop lying!" Charlie exclaims.

Barclay, picks james up by his arms, throwing him up, holding his stiff by the shoulders. He looks back at me and shouts

"Did he hit you?!"

I blink rapidly, not knowing what to say, nothing, not a single world is coming to mg head.

"Did he?!" Chris shouts at me.

"What did he do Noni?!" Casey interrogates.

"She knew I was drunk!" James says, Barcleys face floods a blood red and he throws James onto the floor, James somehow gathered up a box of hidden strength and uses it because he starts fighting back, punching Barclay in the face, Barclay slugging him hard back.

"He hit you?!" Casey's brother Jack come sour of nowhere and asks.

"He hit you?! When?!" Jake shouts at me.

"Police! What is going on here!"

A group of cops swarm the room, pulling Barclay off of James.

"He hit you?!" Tom shouts at me in disbelief.

The room is getting so dark.

"Answer me!" Chris screams.

I can't keep up.

I see Charlie jump in on the fight, sacking James anywhere he could.

"Noni!" Tom shouts snapping his finger in front of me.
