Knock knock knock!

It was late in the morning the next day. Everyone else but Kai had left to either their classes or work. The Fire Master opened the door to be greeted by Tox and Skylor. The green haired girl wore an irritated scowl while Skylor stood behind her, ready to block any means of escape.

"Hi..." Tox mumbled begrudgingly.

"Hey..." Kai answered as he leaned to the side against the door frame. One eyebrow was raised, and he crossed his arms curiously.

"I'm being forced against my will-- I mean here to apologize... for being a jerk to you... I guess--- OW!" Tox yelped. She glanced behind her. Skylor had kicked her in the ankle, but she was looking up at the ceiling innocently. This caused Kai to chuckle. Tox let out a dramatic sigh and turned back to the fire master.
"Okay look, you don't like me. I don't like you. I admit I was harsh with what I said, and I'll apologize for that. Just... watch it with the cocky attitude, got it?"

"Anything for my beauty~" Kai teased looking right at Skylor.

"Could you be serious for 5 seconds?" Skylor remarked with a smirk across her face.

"I don't know... maybe if you give me a kiss, then I can focus more~"

"Okay, eww, could have waited until I left... I'm gonna finish my breakfast," Tox said before walking down the steps.

"Hey, Tox," Kai called out. The poison master turned to face him. He carried a smile. "Thanks." Tox stared at him for a minute. She noticed how genuine he sounded, and she couldn't help but return the gesture. Tox then waved it off casually.

"Eh, just quit it with the flirting in public. You two lovebirds are gonna make me puke from all that romantic junk," she remarked, heading back down to her apartment. Skylor's eyes softened at the green-haired girl until her thoughts were interrupted by her boyfriend.

"Sooooo... about that kiss?" Kai asked with a flirtatious tone. Skylor smirked playfully. She leaned in, causing the fire master to back up against door frame. Kai was taken aback by her forwardness as she inched closer to his face. His cheeks began to heat up. He closed his eyes for a kiss.

Skylor, though, whispered in his ear, instead.

"Nice try, hot tamale~" Kai's face turned as red as his shirt. Skylor giggled in response which made Kai grow a goofy grin.

"This isn't over. I'm gonna find a way to make you blush with my charm," he threatened lightly, tucking a chunk his girlfriend's hair behind her ear. Skylor pulled away from his face while placing her hands on her hips.

"I'll take that challenge. When you lose, what do I win?" Skylor asked her flamming partner. Kai's face formed a pout. He raised one eyebrow before clearly his throat.

"When I win, you have to treat me to a fancy dinner," Kai replied, pointing to himself proudly. Skylor couldn't help but chuckle at him again.

"Then, when you lose, you'll have to refer to yourself as my hot tamale for a week," she remarked with amusement.

"Deal." Kai held out his hand to her. She accepted the gesture only for him to pull her forward. Skylor gripped the fire master's shoulders as he dipped her towards the ground with a clear cocky smile. "Let the games begin~" The red head smirked playfully. She grabbed a hold of his hands. The amber master stood up straight again and twirled him around, so she could lead their little dance. Skylor placed a hand on his waist. While still holding his other hand, she dipped him slowly. Their faces were inches apart with Skylor having a similar smile to what her boyfriend had a minute ago. Kai's face, though, grew a bright crimson by how fast the situation changed.
