"AAAAHHH--Oof!" Seliel groaned when she smacked against the mattress. Her hair flipped over to her face like a pink curtain, causing her to spit chunks of it out of her mouth. "Well at least there's a mattress..."
"AAAHH!" The warrior could hear Cole's screaming growing louder, and her brain went into overdrive. After whipping her hair back to normal, she bolted off the mattress right before Cole landed head first. Seliel looked at the moaning body and kneeled down.
"Tried to save me?" she asked with a smirk.
"Emphasis on tried," Cole replied while lifting up his head. Seliel looked up when she heard more voices.
"Uh, you may wanna--"
BAM!
Cole's face smacked again against the mattress when both Kai and Skylor landed on top of him.
"Whoa! Okay, this was definitely Borg's," Kai said as he looked around to see the tools and computer. "Abit small though..."
"With the worst landing ever," Skylor replied while she rubbed her back.
"Thanks..." Cole muttered, lifting his head again. Skylor chuckled before standing up from the mattress.
"Sorry."
"Yeah, sorry man," Kai said before sliding off, keeping his attention on the room. His eyes trailed over towards the metal door. "Nya!" he called out.
No answer.
The fire master shifted over to the keypad. He gave a low grumble before pulling out his phone.
"Motormouth didn't tell us about a code," he said in irritation, dialing Zane's number. Once Seliel helped Cole to his feet, she noticed the keypad too. She strolled over to it, lightly pushing the fire master out of the way.
"Ugh! Come on. Pick up!" Kai spat while he held the phone to his ear.
Meanwhile, Skylor scanned over the keypad and noticed a tiny compartment on the bottom. She glanced at the table behind her and walked over. The redhead snatched a pair of pliers and a screwdriver and headed back towards the door.
"What are you doing?" Seliel asked while watching the redhead work.
"They won't give us a code? Then, we'll just have to hack the system," Skylor answered after she opened the compartment and pulled out a few wires.
"You can do that?" Seliel continued.
"Kinda, I really only know which wires to pull out to get it to open. A neat trick I learned from my father," Skylor explained sarcastically. The Cole and Seliel glanced at one another, realizing the young woman's irritation with the parent subject.
"Sweet," Seliel awkwardly answered before elbowing the hothead. Kai turned and dropped his phone when he finally noticed the scene. After a few quiet minutes, and a couple cut wires, the keypad flashed green.
The door then slid open.
"Whoa! Cool trick," Cole said to the redhead before heading in after Seliel.
"It was nothing," Skylor replied with a hand wave. She then noticed Kai walking up to her in pure shock.
"You're amazing," Kai answered happily before giving his girlfriend a quick kiss on the cheek. Skylor smiled at the gesture.
"I know," she laughed before the two rushed into the darkened space.
"NYA!" Kai shouted at the nearly pitch black room. Skylor searched for a light, feeling a switch on the edge of her fingertips.
