Another day passed and Irene was back at Grimmauld, the rain pattered on the windows of the house as she made sure to help the trio plan but their small meeting was disrupted by Remus.
The trio was glad but Venna already told Irene why Remus had come. She crossed her arms and the man immediately saw.
"Rene-" "What are you doing here Rem?" she asked. He gulped, "To help the trio." He said. Irene shook her head, "Remus. Don't run away-"
"I'm not. I'm not Adelle." He said. Irene huffed and clenched her jaw. "I know you aren't, but running away from Tonks when she's pregnant is wrong." She said.
Remus shook his head. Harry furrowed his eyebrows, "What's going on really Remus?" he asked. The man gulped, "I'm scared." He admitted.
Irene breathed in as the trio tried their best to remind the man of the good things. But it didn't work. Ron looked at her for help and she gulped.
She wasn't good in lifting people up or convincing them that it would be alright. That was Venna or Adelle. But both aren't here.
So she just walked to him and placed a hand on Remus' shoulder. He looked up at her and Irene tilted her head to the side, "That child deserves to have you-"
"And if I pass down the sickness?" he cut her off. Irene gulped not knowing what to say. "Then you have to be there to teach him the ropes." Harry said.
They all looked at him, Harry sighed, "I grew up without a dad Remus." He said and the man's heart filled with guilt.
Harry smiled, "I would have loved to have someone to teach me everything I should know." He said. Irene watched in wonder as this boy spoke.
She shared a look to Ron and Hermione who had ghost smiles on their faces. "Don't deprive your son of something. Of you, unlike me, he won't have to learn that his father died but if you left he would have to live with the fact that his father left him." He whispered.
Remus let a tear slide down his cheek. Harry smile, "He deserves to have a father. That is why we are fighting this war." He said as he glanced to his best friends and to Irene who smiled at him.
"For families to be complete and reunited." Harry finished. Remus sighed, "Thank you Harry." He said. The boy smiled, "Now go home. Tonks must be worried sick about you." He said.
With a smile to Irene and the trio he apparated away. Hermione sighed in relief, "We have to finish this now. Who knows, fathers or mothers like Remus might do the same because of fear." She said.
Ron nodded, "We will." He said as he looked at Irene, "And knowing the girls are with us we will win." He said. Irene smiled and nodded, "We don't have anything else to do so we'll be here." She said.
