The sun had set again, the end of May 2nd looming upon them but no one had the energy or wanted to leave the Great Hall or the castle.

Sure a few people had found themselves looking for dorm rooms that weren't destroyed to actually sleep properly. But some just stayed at the hall, huddled around just chatting about life.

As the father and daughter stood with Sirius and Remus as they talked to the adults, Adelle felt a familiar presence behind her.

She froze and the Mikaelsons noticed. Davine tilted her head and smiled as she saw the boy looking at her daughter.

Adelle sighed and pursed her lips. She looked at her father who was smiling at her. Kol nodded at her, "It's your time for peace and happiness." He said as he walked away.

The girl watched as Kol sat next to Davina. She gulped and looked at the ground. She felt him shuffle closer, the mere sound of the familiar heartbeat made hers run a mile.

She didn't dare turn around, not knowing what to say or do around him anymore. "Ellie." He whispered. But she heard it, she hummed and slowly turned around.

After what felt like millions of days of being apart and played around like pawns in a chess game, he stood there. His hair still disheveled, the suit jacket he had was thrown somewhere around the castle, small remnants of scars around his neck and face but he was still him.

The platinum hair, grey eyes and pursing lips. Draco Malfoy stood in front of Adelle Green. The brunette girl not knowing what to do, so the boy moved to the side. Motioning outside the hall, "If you want..." he said.

Adelle gulped and looked at Sirius who smiled at her, "I mean, its not like we can do anything about it." He joked. Tonks hit his head as Teddy copied his mother.

Adelle found herself looking at Kol who nodded at her while Stiles huffed, "Will you just go." He said as he passed a blanket to Cho and Luna.

"Alright." She muttered and looked at Draco. He hummed and motioned for her to walk, she does so, walking past him and out the hall.

Draco gulped and looked at everyone. Everyone was staring him down, he gulped in fear but Thea laughed, "Just don't do or say anything stupid. I mean, you won't right?" she asked.

The boy huffed and nodded, following the girl out.

The girl found the silent window sill, she grazed the stone and sighed. The memories of the Yule ball passed through her mind.

Draco stood there watching her as she looked up. The moon was up and so were the constellations. The boy slowly walking up to her.

He didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable, he was scared that she would move away from him. But she didn't, her eyes gazed over the thousands of constellations her eyes could see.

She huffed when she couldn't find it, "Who are you looking for?" He asked softly as she furrowed her eyebrows, frustrated at herself.

Adelle waved him off, "I can do it." She said stubbornly. He hummed and looked back up, he was glancing at her, making sure that she was actually there.

The girl huffed and frowned and her shoulders slumped. "I can't find it." She grumbled. Draco let out a small chuckle, "Well let me help you." He said.

"Scorpius is gone." She whispered. He smiled to himself and carefully moved himself behind Adelle.

Shakily grabbing her hand, her breath hitched at the touch. It had been so long since they have been this close without yelling or crying.

Pulling on her fingers he felt his heart cry out for her, to hug her. He gulped and lifted up her hand, pulling out her pointer finger she placed it above them.

"Just there." he whispered as he placed her hand on the right spot to see where Scorpius was.

She looked up and let out a breath. Her shoulders relaxed as she stared at the constellation. Draco letting go of her hand but staying right behind her.

Slowly dropping her arm to the side, she hummed and tilted her head as her eyes moved to look at the moon. The moon shone, clear and bright and she sighed.

Draco bit his lip as he looked at her, "I read your letter." She whispered. His heart leaped as she turned around.

She pushed herself up to sit on the window sill, she fumbled with her fingers and pursed her lips. "You did?" he asked.

Adelle looked at him and nodded, "Yeah." She whispered. Draco slowly walked to her and she watched him closely.

If it were up to her, he would be in her arms but she didn't want to scare the boy away. So she just sat there, watching him.

"I'm so sorry Ellie." He said with sad eyes and her heart broke. Grabbing his hands, he looked at her.

Staring into her eyes, she shrugged, "You had to." She answered him. They looked at each other. Memorizing their faces, there was scratches and small scars, tired expressions but they wanted to be with each other than leave the talking to tomorrow.

Adelle bit her lip as Draco's turned up slightly. "What?" she asked confused at why he was looking at her like that. He laughed and walked closer, his hands resting on her knees, "Nothing." He answered.

The Green scoffed and shook her head, "You just have this look on your face." She said with a raise of her eyebrow and motioned to her face.

Draco raised an eyebrow at her, "I was thinking about the day we met." He admitted as he blushed. Adelle tried to suppress a smile as she pursed her lips.

"Yeah?" she asked. Her hands finding their way to his, she played with the rings as she stared at his eyes. Not once breaking contact.

"Yeah, that's it." He whispered as he savored her soft touch. Slowly intertwining their hands and walking closer as her knees opened and moved to both sides of his waist.

What they didn't notice was the small crowd of curious people they had gained. Stiles peeking from the door as the Weasley twins followed after him. Sirius and Kol just next to them with Thea leaning on the other side of the doorway.

Adelle looked down on their hands clasped together like two puzzle pieces reuniting as one. "Can I tell you something?" she asked as she fiddled with his fingers. "Of course." He whispered as he studied her face.

She huffed and furrowed her eyebrows. Sensing her frustration, Draco placed his hand under her chin and she looked at him. He looked at her with soft and patient eyes.

Adelle breathed in and out. Picking up the courage as the memories flashed before her eyes. She hummed as she tried to calm her heartbeat.

"I love you." She said.
