Kol opened the door and crouched down. He smiled at the peaceful look on Adelle's face settled. He gently stroked her hair and hummed.
"Darling, you have to wake up now." He said. Adelle had turned into quite a light sleeper recently, the mere footsteps woke her up so when she didn't budge Kol knew something was wrong.
"Adelle?" he asked louder as he lifted her head up to sit on the seat. This caught the attention of the group who looked at him.
He tried to shake her but she still didn't wake up. "Freya. Davina!" he yelled as he stroked her head. The two witches alongside Hope ran up to him.
Kol looked at up at the women, "She won't wake up." He whispered. Freya furrowed her eyebrows as Davina crouched down to touch her forehead.
"What?" Hope asked as the others walked to them. "What's going on?" Carlisle asked. Thea sighed knowing what happened. Freya looked at her and she nodded.
Freya placed a hand over Davina's shoulder and the mother sighed. "She's not here." They mumbled. "What?" Hayley asked confused.
Davina bit her lip, "It seems Adelle has astral projected." She said with a sigh. Kol closed his eyes and breathed out.
"She'll be back." Thea said as she stared at her sister, "She might not know what she's doing." She said as she crossed her arms.
"I didn't know Adelle could do that." Luther mumbled. Thea huffed, "Her body is trying to find a way to replace the shifting." She explained.
This caught everyone's attention and the Hargreeves girl sighed. "Most of her life she has shifted, and she would do it when her current reality is stressful. She goes to her desired reality." She said.
"But there aren't any more realities." Rebekah said. Thea hummed and nodded as she continued to look at Adelle, "That is why her soul astral projected. It's so used on using shifting as an escape so when she can't anymore it found another form to leave temporarily." She said with a sigh.
"She'll wake up soon." She said. Elijah turned to Carlisle, "Would be alright if we drove?" he asked.
The vampire nodded, "Of course." He said and they all dispersed to their cars to drive to the Cullen's household.
