I left my family behind. I just chose erudite. My thoughts are interrupted when the dauntless all run away, probably to catch the train. Beatrice chose dauntless. We both left our family. ''Erudite initiates, come with us! We are going to our headquarters.'', an erudite yells.'' We all stand up and walk to the elevator. When we come out of the hub I already see erudite headquarters.
After a few minutes of walking, we stop in front of the door. A man and a woman are standing in front of our group. ''Hello everyone, welcome to erudite. We are Cara and Fernando, and we are your instructors.'', the man, Fernando, says. After they say that they walk away, with us trailing behind.''This is the dorm for the girls, the room next to this is the dorm for the boys. We'll show you the cafeteria and after you can do what you want, if you have questions you can find us in the library.'' Cara says. And with that, we walk to the canteen.

The next morning Fernando wakes us up. When we and the girls stand in the hallway Cara starts talking. ''Today you will be doing an IQ-test. Based on those results we put you together with someone else. With your partner you're making an essay, in three weeks you will hand it in and we give you a mark. Based on those marks we put you together with someone else and you make another essay. You will get a mark for that essay too, the last exercise is one you will do alone. For the essays, you make with your partner you have a choice between two subjects. For your own exercise, you can choose yourself.'' After her explanation, we start with our IQ tests. After an hour and a half, I'm done and I see that I'm the second. Everyone but one is still writing. After our test, we all go to the library to read.

The next day we get our results back, I had the second-highest IQ from everyone! Cara and Fernando put me together with an eruditeborn, Leah is her name. Leah and I have two options for our essay, the history of candor or the history of dauntless. We chose the history of dauntless because Beatrice and Leah's best friend Will transferred to dauntless. We go to the library to do some research and after that, we take our books outside to sit in the grass, since there's nice weather.
The next three weeks Leah and I are busy with our essay and before we know it we have to hand it in. While Cara and Fernando are checking our essays, Leah and I are going to the library to read. When we are there we see that all the initiates had that plan.

Today we get our new partner to work with and our results from the previous exercise. Leah and I had an A! I get to work with a candortransfer named Bill. We can choose between life outside the fence and why every faction has a manifesto. We choose the faction manifestos because we don't think there is something outside the fence. So it would be a boring essay if we would write something about that.
After three weeks of working hard, we hand in our work and enjoy our free day. Tomorrow we get our results of this essay and we can start working on our own exercise. I think I'm gonna write about the reason there was a purity war. Beatrice and I always wondered about that and we imagined the weirdest things about aliens and all that kind of stupid stuff.

After another three I have to hand in my own essay. I think it's pretty good because I already knew a lot about this subject from school and I found a lot of books in the library. When I'm lying in my bed I can't sleep, because I'm really nervous. Tomorrow we get our ranks, I really hope that I ranked high.

I wake up early and walk with Leah, Bill, and Jake, another friend of mine who transferred from dauntless, to the cafeteria. We eat our food silently and wait for the ranks. After waiting for another thirty minutes Cara and Fernando come in. They hold a speech and then the rankings appear behind them.

Yess, my friends and I are ranked one to four! I am second! I am really proud, and while I'm thinking about this I'm thinking how Beatrice did in dauntless. But that doesn't matter: Faction before Blood. After this my friends and I are gonna celebrate our rankings, we get some fizzy drinks and are gonna read in the park in the sun.
