After we all chose and the dauntless and erudite left we get up too. I am actually really surprised that both Beatrice and Caleb transferred, I don't think dauntless is a good fit for Beatrice. But anyway all the amity initiates get in the same pick-up truck. After a half an hour drive we arrive at amity. There stands our instructor, Mae. She tells us that we are gonna help on the land, with the animals, babysit children and learn some typical amity songs. After that, she shows us to the girls' dorm and the boys' dorm.
The next day at 8.30 A.M we all stand in front of the orchard. Today we are gonna help with picking apples. I think it's gonna take us two days since there are a lot of apples and eleven initiates, but it's a really nice thing to do. I already feel really happy. After two days of picking apples I'm really tired, but also really happy. The rest of this week we have to help with picking cherries, strawberries, raspberries, and harvesting grain and corn.
After an intensive week of working on the land, we have a day off. I'm going to swim, together with my new friends Tim, Evie, Colin, and Jade. Evie and Tim are born in amity, Jade transferred from dauntless and Colin transferred from erudite. At night we sit with all the initiates, Johanna and some members by a bonfire. We are gonna roast marshmallows and they are teaching us amity songs. We all had a lot of fun during this. I even learned how to play the banjo.
For the next few days, we have to babysit the kids who don't go to school in the city. I'm really excited about this because I love being with kids. This week I have to babysit two children, their names are June and Wyatt they are both three years old. We had a lot of fun, we went playing in the playground, we swam in the pool for small kids, we pet guinea pigs and rabbits and we baked cookies. There was also a day where we just played with some toys from the daycare. Every day at the end of the day they were both really sleepy when we were done for the day. I really enjoyed it, I think I'm gonna take a job at the daycare.
The last thing we have to do is helping with the animals. Today I had to clean the cage where the rabbits live. Tomorrow I have to feed the fishes in the pond and milk the cows. Later this week I have to brush the horses and clean their hooves. After that, we finally are members of amity. Tomorrow we have to choose our jobs, but I already know what I want.
Now we are choosing our jobs, I chose to work in the daycare. Colin is gonna be a chauffeur and bring people and stuff to the city. Evie chose to work in the daycare too and Tim and Jade are gonna work with the animals. After that we all get assigned to an apartment, I'm gonna share one with Colin and Tim. Once we are all settled in we end our day with a picnic with our group of friends.
