(3rd pov)

Taking a seat on the ground with his back against the wall Illumi dragged his hands through the back of his hair and pulled onto it. He's back in his apartment, after finding out the news he could no longer stay on that mountain. His father let Killua leave with his friend. Can one blame Illumi for being angry? Silva Zolydck, his father, the same father who forbade Illumi from even interacting with their butlers or maids. The same one who locked him in a room for years until he could no longer feel his own warmth.  He was livid at the fact that his father just let killua go. It's as if Illumi is the only one to care for killuas future.

At the same time as Illumi, Arisu also took a seat on the ground with her back against the wall and watched from her window as her siblings smiled and played outside. She dried her tears and continued practicing what Illumi had taught her. Her aura was faint, she didn't have as much trouble showing it anymore but it did take a lot of energy from her.

Ding. They both got a notification. Illumi reached for his phone and looked down. He received a message from Hisoka.

'Haven't done the job have we? ☆-_-♡'

Illumi scoffed and typed something.

'Does it concern you in any way? ○-○'

Hisoka chuckled slightly at illumis attempt to mock him. In reality, the magician did take a liking to arisu, she seemed to have potential she herself hasn't realized she has. Humming to himself Hisoka typed back a message.

'I'll take her off of your hands if you allow me'

Seconds after Hisoka texted, illumi replied almost immediately. Hisoka hummed to himself with humor playing behind his amber eyes as he read the message.

'I don't like others touching what's mine either, Hisoka.'

'Little toy, what have you gotten yourself into?' Hisoka thought to himself as he put his phone down.

Illumi thought back to Arisu, her brown eyes were almost as dull as his own but yet she still held onto her smile and let her emotions shine through. He found that really strange, sad in a way.

Arisu looked down at her phone and saw a message from Gin.

'I'm sorry 🥺'

Pain mixed with rage seemed to run through her veins as read that text. So she threw her phone against the wall and went back to practicing, this time fully taming her exploding aura.

She was angry, she was confused and she just wanted a way out of whatever her mind has been putting her through. She buries her face in between her hands and bites her lip. She wishes she was stronger than this, she wishes she could be like those girls in action films.

She wondered why she couldn't just up and go. She could take her siblings with her and leave this hell behind. Arisu buried her head in between her knees and she got another notification. She got up to go get her phone.

'Are you back home?'

'Yeah.'

Soon after replying to gin, Arisu heard her mother's footsteps walking towards her room. She cursed out loud and wiped her tears as she mentally prepared herself to confront her mother.

'I'm not a child, I'm not a child, I'm not a child ' Her mind kept repeating those words as she tried blocking out her mothers shouting.

"You need to stop being a lazy pile of shit, you're 23 get a fucking job!" Arisus mom screamed loud enough to get the kids attention and they ran inside to see what was going on.

'Shut up, shut up, shut up.' Arisus eyes darted around her room and she hid her aura.

After an hour of feeling like her eardrums were about to burst, Arisus' mother finally left her alone. Arisu's eyes filled with tears but none seemed to fall, instead, she just stared blankly at the blurry wall. Her siblings came in and her brother sat on her bed.

"Sis.." Chiyo, her 10-year-old sister spoke softly. "When will we be getting out of here?" Chiyo was afraid, she didn't want anything bad to happen to her older siblings anymore.

Arisu opened her arms and hugged both of her siblings as they both began silently crying. She felt bad for her siblings because she knew exactly how they both felt. Arisu had to put up with their mother alone for years before they came but she did have her father.

"We'll be leaving soon, I promise." She whispered to both of them and they nodded.
