The Hospital Wing

I pull my hair back into a pony tail as Madam Pomphry scurried towards us. She had given Ron an antidote to pass him out for abit while she cleaned him up. She smiles when she approaches me and I return the gesture. "How is he?" She asks. It's been three hours since she gave him the antidote and he contintues to sleep. I glance from Ron to her and grin "Hes good, sleeping still. How long before the antidote wears off?" I ask.

She looks from Ron to me "Maybe a few hours. Could be longer. We will keep him over night just be sure he's healed properly" she saying before patting my shoulder and scurrying back to her office, closing the door behind her. I look back to Ron, putting my head in my hands, and letting out the breath I didn't realise of was holding. This was all my fault. If I hadnt almost kissed Draco, we wouldnt be in this mess. My thoughts are cut short when the double doors to the Hospital Wing enterance burst open, and two figures stride in. My heart nearly falls to the pit of my stomach when Harry and Hermione approach the end of the bed, looking from Ron to me.

"What are you doing here?" Hermione asks, suddenly pissed off. She hurries to Ron's other side and takes his hand in hers. "He almost died because of you and your still here? Why?" She asks again, tears streaming down her face. I stand up before answering her "He's alive because of me" I say, glancing from Harry to Madam Pomphry as she makes her way towards us. I hold up my hand and she turns back and goes back into her office. I look to Hermione as she looks down to Ron. I take my seat back beside Ron, and look back to him.

"What happened?" Hermione asks, her voice calmer than it was. "Well I dont really know exactly" I say, and this time they both turn to look at me, causing me to turn away quickly. "I was down at Hagrids, and I was making my way back to the castle. I got to the Stone Circle right before the Covered Bridge, and he was trapped by Crabbe and Goyle. I got their attention and then Goyle..." I stop and shudder, the memories flooding back. Harry and Hermione exchange glances before looking back to me.

"Anyways... Ron stopped him from his attack and they went back for him. They hurt him. And something in me snapped. Goyle went to punch Ron again and I jumped on his back and we fell. Then I stood up, withdrew my wand and told them both to leave. I dunno if its how I said it or that I was clearly frightened, but they both fled. Then I helped Ron to his feet and told him we needed to come here. Of course, Ron being Ron, he refused" I pause, then Harry and Hermione say in unison "Of course" as they continue to stare at Ron.

I grin at the passed out Ron before continuing "But then he finally agreed and we came here. He was so badly hurt that Madam Pomphry gave him an antidote to pass him out so everything could heal" I pause and look to Hermione.

She continues to stare at me, then looks to Ron. "He's been out for about three hours now and Madam Pomphry said she wants to keep him over night to be sure everything heals properly" I say, looking back at my hands. "Thank you for bringing him here" Hermione says. I glance up to see her smiling down at me. I grin to her, then look back to my hands, avoiding Harry's gaze. "And.." She starts, and I look back up to her as she continues "Thank you for staying here with him. I'm sorry for what I said earlier. I shouldnt have assumed-" But I cut her off. "You were right. If it wasnt for me and Draco.." I pause, looking from Harry, who has his head hung low, back to Hermione "He wouldnt of been in this mess... And I'm so sorry" I say as the tears roll down my cheeks.

I place my head in my hands and let the tears flow when I feel arms around my shoulders. I look up to see a head of bushy brown hair hugging me. Hermione. I smile and hug her back, as more tears flow down my face. She pulls away slowly, then looks from Harry to me. I look up to her and she grin "If you want, go and get some sleep. I can take over for awhile. We can take this in shifts. I think someone should be here with him at all costs" She says, glancing from Ron back to us.
