When the world stopped spinning, I was finally able to look around at my surroundings. We no longer stood on the grounds of Hogwarts, but somewhere new.
"Draco-" But my voice was cut short when I turned, and felt my jaw hit the ground.
A handsome manor grew out of the setting sun at the end of the straight driveway, lights glinting in the diamond paned downstairs windows.
Somewhere in the dark garden beyond the hedge, a fountain was playing soft music. Gravel crackled beneath our feet as Draco took ahold of my hand, and walked toward the front door, which swung inward at our approach, though nobody had visibly opened it.
I let out a soft whistle as Draco turned to me, one eyebrow raised.
"Nice" I say, pointing at the large door. Draco rolls his eyes, a smirk plastered on his lips as he turns back to the door, and we enter.
The hallway was large, dimly lit, and nicely decorated, with a magnificent carpet covering most of the stone floor. The eyes of the pale faced portraits on the walls followed us as we walked past them.
Draco comes to a halt at a heavy wooden door leading into the next room. He hesitates for a second, then turns around to look at me.
"Give me just one minute" And before I could protest, he turns back to the door, and steps through. I stand out in the hall, bouncing on the balls of my feet.
Where did he go?
I looked around to my surroundings, before peaking my head inside the door Draco just walked through.
It looked like a large drawing room that was completely empty, except for a long and ornate table in the middle of the room. The table's top was perfectly polished and looked as though it hasn't been used since it was bought.
Illumination came from a roaring fire beneath a beautiful marble mantel piece underneath a large mirror. I smiled to my reflection as I walk towards the fireplace.
As my eyes grew accustomed to the lack of light, and I noticed a few pictures sitting ontop of the mantle above the fireplace.
I smile as I see pictures of Draco when he was younger. Not much has changed except his hair is longer and his eyes are darker. Darker and holding so many secrets.
I scoot closer down, and see a picture of Draco in Hogwarts robes. I see his hair is gelled back, and he's wearing his signature smirk. He looks as though he's maybe in his first or second year. He looks so innocent, its mind boggling.
I roll my eyes but move to the next photo. This one is a picture of a man and woman behind a younger looking Draco. I assumed it was his parents as he has his mother's eyes, but his father's looks.
The last picture on the mantle was a picture of Draco, Crabbe, Blaise, and Pansy. I rolled my eyes as the four of them smiled and laughed in the photo.
Pansy, Crabbe, and Blaise all had their right sleeves raised, their Death Eater marks barely visible under the lighting. I see Draco had his hands in the front pockets of his pants. He's wearing a smile, not one that reaches his eyes, but a small one.
He looks happy.
I smile when someone clears their throat. I jump softly, but turn to see Draco standing exactly the way he was in the photo.
He now had his robes off, and only stood in his white button up, black pants, his black dress shoes, his tie was undone and hanging around his neck.
"Nosy?" Draco asks, raising one eyebrow again, but smiling. I smile to him, crossing my arms over my chest.
"You didn't want your mark showing too?" I ask, the sarcasm clear in my voice.
